Kanye West Shares “The Saint Pablo” Tour Dates

pablo

Kanye West dropped the tour dates for his “The Saint Pablo” tour which will kick off in August. Earlier this year Ye teased the possibility of a tour coming.

Kanye West shows are super high energy and if you’ve never experienced one you should definitely make an attempt to snag some up. Tickets went on sale for American Express holders this morning and will go on sale for TIDAL subscribers Thursday at 10 a.m. The general public will be able to buy tickets beginning Saturday morning. Here’s a little of what to expect.

It’ll also be interesting to see who Kanye will be taking on the road with him. One name I’m more than certain will be on the tour is G.O.O.D. Music’s Desiigner after the uber success of his single “Panda” and his signing to the label.

BEYONCE’S LEMONADE GOES PLATINUM

When Beyonce dropped ‘Lemonade’ earlier this year fans everywhere were in a frenzy as the album dropped via an HBO special. The album was officially given a platinum certification earlier this week.

The platinum plaque is the sixth for Beyonce, whom originally released the album exclusively on TIDAL.

‘Lemonade’ encompasses hits “Formation,” “Freedom” featuring Kendrick Lamar and “6 Inch” featuring The Weeknd.

Big ups to Bey on the accomplishment.

FUTURE EARNS FIRST PLATINUM PLAQUE

Beyonce wasn’t the only one to grab a platinum plaque this week, Future snagged up his first platinum certification as well for ‘Dirty Sprite 2.’

Although DS2 got a platinum certification, Future still has never had a platinum which is strange when you consider some of the hits he’s put out.

Bigs ups to Future and the whole FreeBandz team on the accomplishment.

BIG SEAN ALBUM COMING

Big Sean announced this week that he will be releasing his follow up album to ‘Dark Sky Paradise’ in a few weeks.

‘Dark Sky Paradise’ was a tremendous success for Sean, who came out and said that his upcoming album is his “best work so far.”

Sean Don also teased the upcoming album earlier this year via Twitter.

Hopefully we see very soon. Sooner than later.

FRENCH MONTANA ALBUM AND DRAKE COLLAB COMING

A few weeks ago a video of French and Drake surfaced on Instagram. The collaboration apparently is a single that will be featured on Frenchie’s upcoming ‘Mac N Cheese 4.’

The expected release for the album is August 19th but you can pre-order it on iTunes HERE.

https://twitter.com/FrencHMonTanA/status/738713154079838208

The album will have 14 tracks and features from Kanye West, Drake, Kodak Black and more to be announced.

Watch the video for “Lockjaw” featuring Kodak Black off ‘Mac N Cheese 4’ below.

DJ KHALED SHOOTS STAR-STUDDED VIDEO

DJ Khaled has been teasing a song with Jay-Z and Future on his SnapChat for a few weeks now.

Well, the single has yet to be released, but apparently the video was already shot with a lot of familiar faces in it.

Can you name everyone in the pic? Hopefully the song drops on Khaled’s next ‘We The Best’ radio show on Apple Music.

L.A. Leakers Indie Pick Of The Week : Caleborate

IMG_5353

The Bay Area music scene has always been one of the best. From the slang to the 808s, it is by far one of the livest, most unique around.

This week’s Indie Pick of the Week, Caleborate, doesn’t have the typical Bay Area sound but adds to the scene with a more conscious but still exhilarating, witty style that represents the new Bay sound very well.

“I just wanna bring my style forward and bring originality because I feel that’s gonna push the whole scene forward,” he said. “So, the way I do it is to tell my story the best way possible.”

Caleborate’s parents divorced during his teenage years, so he would frequently travel on the Amtrak back and forth to visit them both. On the train he did a lot of thinking and reflecting as well as writing.

“I think that I became an artist just through that,” he said. “I listened to a lot of music, read a lot of books through that traveling and became in touch with myself.”

His intellect comes across in his music with a very pure flow that speaks for itself. On all his songs he talks about experiences he’s been through or ambitions and things he plans on accomplishing.

Growing up listening to Lil Wayne in his prime years, Caleborate found the motivation from Wayne’s ’08 flow to fuel his newest song “08 [Carter Flow]” produced by fellow Bay Areaens, Kuya Beats and P-Lo.

“Everybody remembers 2008 when Wayne had the game on fire and the way he was just going and pushing himself to another level,” he exclaimed. “So, this record is like me pushing myself to the next level and really trying to harness that.”

Listen to the “08 [Carter Flow]” below:

The production on that track fittingly reminds me of Wayne’s “Let The Beat Build.” “08 [Carter Flow]” will be on his upcoming project 1993 dropping in July.

Aside from Weezy, one person Caleborate would like to collaborate with is J. Cole and is really appreciative of his artistry.

“If I ever got the chance to work with him I might shed a tear —a thug tear for sure,” he jokingly said. “He’s just really historic, his vibe and content have really helped me as a person and an artist.”

Caleborate is still growing as an artist and heavily expressed his emotions of feeling blessed to have the people he has around him to help him grow. Some major influencers in his life are his manager Coach Nick, G-Eazy, Kuya Beats and P-Lo.

Keep an ear out for this bald head guy wearing skinny jeans, he’s gonna blow up! Don’t forget who put you on!

Wale is back with a follow up track to “My PYT” called “Her Wave.” This new one has a similar vibe to “My PYT” and captures Wale in his romantic mood. “Her Wave” is set to be on his forthcoming album ‘Shine.’ It’s evident Wale’s been staying busy in the studio working on not only his album but also MMG’s upcoming ‘Selfmade 4.’ You can listen to the first single off ‘Selfmade 4’ titled “Make It Work” featuring Rick Ross and Meek Mill HERE.
