Snoop Dogg ft. Nate Dogg, Warren G & Kurupt – Ain’t No Fun (If The Homies Can’t Have None) (OG Cassette Tape Demo Audio)

Snoop Dogg

Back in 1993, before Dr. Dre added the bells and whistles to the best song to sing to whilst drunk, “Ain’t No Fun (If The Homies Can’t Have None)” had a slight different type of sound. Thanks to DâM-FunK, who bought the recording on a cassette tape at L.A.’s Slauson Swap Meet back in ’93, we now have the record in it’s original form twenty prior to the track we know today.

Happy listening.

Wale – The Gifted (Album Stream)

the-gifted-cover

Since J. Cole, Kanye West, Mac Miller and Statik Selektah have all released their albums today it only makes sense to add Wale’s album to the overwhelming amount of listening you already have on your plate. Although Wale’s The Gifted will be released next Tuesday, June 25, the MMG rapper has partnered with iTunes to stream his new project in its entirety.

I like when artists let us stream their albums before we purchase. I mean, we’re bound to get our hands on it for free anyways so why not do an official high quality stream? In The Gifted, Wale’s third solo album, expect to hear quality features from Rick Ross, Rihanna, Cee Lo Green, Wiz Khalifa and more. Even Jerry Seinfeld makes a cameo for the biggest “Seinfeld” fan in the rap game.

Juicy J ft. Wale & Trey Songz – Bounce It (Audio)

Juicy J

New strip club-type track provided by Juicy J, Wale and Trey Songz at 3am on a Tuesday morning. Yep, yep. With a nod to classic nostalgic lyrics like “slob on my knob,” Juicy asks the ladies to bounce it as Trey debates on whether to throw a couple thousands.

According to Dajaz1, the leaked track is off his upcoming solo album, Stay Trippy, coming out some time this year – hopefully.

Space Age – PRAY (Remix) (Audio)

Little Simz

My friend Eddie over at SoulCulture put me on North London’s Little Simz and her rap collective foursome Space Age (Little Simz, Josh Arcé, Remus and Chucks). This remix of Gilbere Forte’s “PRAY”? Replay worthy. Especially Little Simz verse, she’s the first on the track. The tone in her voice is mesmerizing.

Take this track as an introduction to Simz and the group and listen below.

J. Cole – Funkmaster Flex Freestyle (Video)

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’m enjoying Born Sinner, which is available on iTunes now. I think I may even elaborate on it tomorrow. Anyways, J. Cole headed to the Hot 97 studios to celebrate, on the eve of the release of his sophomore album, with a series of freestyles.

Part 2 and 3 after the jump.

I’M NOT A KID ANYMORE by Jason Madison (Short Film)

INAKA TWO POSTER

A few weeks ago, I made the trip out to USC to watch Jason Madison premiere his new short film, I’M NOT A KID ANYMORE, the latest film since releasing LA Is My Playground. I wasn’t really sure what I was getting into but 1) I knew the movie had the greatest poster ever (see above) 2) Madison has directed copious music videos for your favorite L.A.-based artists and starred in some of them so I knew whatever he had up his sleeve was going to interest me in one way or another.

To keep it short, because it is a short film, Jason moves across the country to the Big Apple. Yes, there is love in the film. There is also drugs, sex and an awesome soundtrack. It’s not your typical short memoir film as the story is told through the director/rapper’s visual and audio interpretation.

Watch the film after the jump and to learn more about Jason Madison, click here to visit his official site.
