“Have you heard the new Drake songs?” -friend
“No.” -me
“They are very Drake of him.” -friend

So I heard them and yeah, it’s very Drake. Drake has been kinda hush on the releasing new music side but last night he hit the internet with a new website (ovosound.com) and four brand new tracks.

BTW, this is the header of OVO SOUND.

Finally! We have a release date for his next album, Nothing Was The Same. SEPTEMBER 17. As for the new tracks, Drake’s given us a “Jodeci Freestyle” featuring his Roc Nation buddy J. Cole, “The Motion” featuring singer/producer Sampha, a switch-up on the pace with a bouncy party track by ATL trio Migos titled “Versace,” and another R&B-a-la-Drizzy single, “Over Here,” with PARTYNEXTDOOR.

“26 on my 3rd GQ cover,” flosses Drake in the first line of “Jodeci Freestyle.” Yep, very Drake like.

Listen to the tracks below.

Jobs (Trailer)

Ashton Kutcher plays Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic, ‘Jobs,’ which focuses on Jobs’ rise from a college dropout to being on of the most innovative entrepreneurs of the 20th century. I can’t wait to watch this film! I mean, how empowering is Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Can’t Hold Us,” right? Great choice on the song for the trailer, movie studios.

YG ft. Rich Homie Quan & Young Jeezy – Ride For My Ni**a (Audio)

RIde For My Nigga

I don’t want to live in a world where YG is not on a DJ Mustard production. Definitely let out a sigh of relief when I realized that Mustard produced the first single that YG has released since he announced joining Young Jeezy’s label, CTE. Whew. Yes, YG has joined Jeezy’s CTE so it makes sense that the (now) bossman would have a feature in “Ride For My Ni**a.”

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (Full-Length Trailer)

A brand new trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, which shows the Ron Burgundy and the Channel 4 news team on the streets of New York, has officially been released. We know that Kanye West and Drake are set to make cameos in the film but sadly they didn’t make the cut in this trailer.

Mibbs & Scoop DeVille – FREEBASS (EP)

FREEBASS

Mostly known for being one-third of the L.A. rap group Pac Div, Mibbs has finally released his solo debut project, FREEBASS, entirely produced by “Poetic Justice” beatsmith Scoop DeVille. Mibbs and Scoop push a different type of sound in each of the five tracks of the EP. According to a press release, Mibbs already has five more EPs finished, each with a different producer.

Sounds like we’ll be hearing a lot from the L.A. rapper this summer. Click here to check out the interview I did with Mibbs and Scoop earlier this year when they announced that they were ready to release FREEBASS then hit the jump for the stream and download link.
