Jabari Presents: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (Documentary)

Directed by Jabari Johnson

Jabari Presents was made to inspire youth culture to chase their dreams by showcasing people who are living theirs. Jabari’s documentary with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis just hit 200k views on YouTube and it served as a reminder that I never got the chance to post it! This short documentary is an easy way to get to know these independent artists that have been paving their own way in this Hip-hop world.

In this short film, I traveled to Seattle, Washington to spend the week with Macklemore and Ryan as they shot their famous “Thrift Shop” music video, and prepared for the release of “The Heist”. The two brought me into their indie lives and showed me what it takes day after day to reach the level of success they have.

Watch the film above.
