It’s been four years since the untimely death of Michael Jackson and yet his timeless music carries on through every generation. K-Ci & JoJo used to make songs that hopeless 10-year-old romantics could relate to (ex. “All My Life”). Now, they’ve added a little chopped and screw to their latest single, most likely to keep up with the times. It’s up to you to decide whether you like “Knock It Off” or not but maybe if a rap feature gets thrown in, it’ll sound better (to me).
In the meantime, Drake dropped a Jodeci freestyle that’s available for listening.
Yuna’s new video for “I Wanna Go” is the perfect summer day. Running by bright flowers, skateboarding on the sidewalk against a colorful street wall and blowing kisses while running on the beach, the sweet sounding songstress does it all. For more summer sounds, make sure you pick up her latest EP, Sixth Street, out on iTunes now.
Directed by Didi Ramlan and Julian Schratter.
Quick story about “Yeah Dawg,” courtesy of Curtiss King’s twitter timeline. The song was never written to paper but memorized on a drive home. That from-mind-to-mic type music. Listen to the Black Cloud Music artist’s newest song, “Yeah Dawg,” produced by OhGoshLeotus, below.
Roscoe Dash lets some feelings off his chest in his latest freestyle over DJ Khaled’s single, “No New Friends,” featuring Spiff. Dash’s album is coming soon.

After recently signing to Interscope, specifically Rico Love’s Division1, “Bad” songstress Tiara Thomas releases the first single off her upcoming EP, Dear Sallie Mae.
“You should beware, beware, beware of a woman with a broken heart,” sings Def Jam’s Jhené Aiko in duet with Big Sean. “Beware” is the latest self-leaked single from Big Sean’s Hall Of Fame, dropping August 27. Besides Lil Wayne, who’s featured on the single, other artists that are rumored to be on the album are Eminem and Adele.
More info on the late summer release will be available soon but for now, stream the latest Hall Of Fame track, produced by Key Wane and Mike Dean, below.
Stop. This lyric video for “Happy” by Pharrell Williams for the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack is just adorable. Watch, smile, clap long and don’t forget that the soundtrack is available on iTunes now!
In a world where the President of the United States sings the single of the summer, nah, totally kidding. YouTube channel Baracksdubs created a great cut-up of Obama “singing” Daft Punk’s Pharrell-assisted groovy single, “Get Lucky.” Watch and be amazed.
Sidenote: Great thumbnail.
Jay Rock explains one of the best guest verses of 2012, his verse on “Money Trees” off Kendrick Lamar’s debut good kid, m.A.A.d city.
I heard that Chris Brown has some special guests coming out. Just saying.
Earlier today, Jay-Z held a scavenger hunt in NYC where fans received a limited-edition book which included the tracklist to Magna Carter Holy Grail, arriving July 4. So far we only have titles, sans features and production credits but maybe there will be a second dedication to his daughter? “Jay-Z Blue” sounds like it.
Don’t listen to me. I don’t know anything except that Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Pharrell Williams, and Rick Rubin all worked on the production for the album. Hit the jump for the song titles and a video for proof. Video courtesy of Instagrammer SankaCoffee.
