Thurz on NBC’s ‘Parenthood’ (Video)

In Episode 4 of Season 4 [of NBC’s Parenthood], at the 3:47 mark, Thurz grabs his first acting role as a rapper in the studio with Crosby Braverman in a recording session. Crosby’s son, Jabbar, walks in during the session and hears a few negative words that spawn the theme for “The Talk.”

You are among the first selected few to hear my new project, “517 W QUEEN TAPE.” This mixtape serves as the prequel to my sophomore album “Blood on the Canvas,” in which I supply a diverse sound and showcase my abilities to attack records, rap my a** off, have fun, and provide good, original music. “L.A. Riot” served as the foundation for re-establishing myself as a solo artist, in which I took a concept and connected with my state of mind at the present time.
