Video: Theophilus London – LVRS of GOD (Mini-Doc)

“LVRS OF GOD” is an intimate exploration of Theophilus London’s chameleonic mind through his inspiration and iconography.

Captured by filmmakers Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson (Influencers, Pursuit Of Cool…) during his performances at the Brooklyn Museum and Williamsburg Music Hall in New York, the short provides a revealing glimpse into early influences that shaped Theophilus London’s ascension into a rising icon.

I think the video description pretty much sums it all up. Oh, and the video ends with “I Stand Alone” from his album, Timez Are Weird These Days, which also happens to be a track I’m sort of obsessed with.

Brooklyn MC Theophilus London is gearing up to release his debut album titled, Timez Are Weird These Days, with Warner Bros. Records. “Last Name London” is the opening track off the album, due July 19th, and only available for free download today. Get it!

Recorded over the last year in New York City, Los Angeles and Stockholm, the LP will feature a number of different producers to including Ariel Rechstshaid (Foreign Born, MURS, Glasser), Jokke of The Teddybears, Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio and John Hill (Santigold), who produced this track.

Video: Theophilus London – Backstage Pass (Part 2)

Video: Theophilus London – Century Girl

Directed and produced by Theophilus London, the video for “Century Girl” features a montage of different women and live performances, like his show a few weeks ago in LA at the Key Club. There’s also a cameo from Liz Lee from MTV’s “My Life As Liz,” which I thought was pretty odd but hey maybe I’m just hating that she became a rap video vixen before I did.

Congrats to Theophilus London on his sold out show in Los Angeles!

Mr. London performed at the Key Club last night and the crowd was great! It was probably one of the few shoes that had such a balance between male and females and different types of nationalities. Glad to see that Theophilus fans come in every shape, sex and color. Check out footage from the show, above! The first video is his Marvin Gaye Cover, “I Want You” and the second video is “Why Even Try.”
