Video: Talib Kweli – Hot Thing LIVE

I was at Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa last night to catch Talib Kweli perform since I missed him at Paid Dues and Nokia Theater. So first of all, Detroit Bar doesn’t have the best audio quality since I kept hearing squeeks but it didn’t even matter. Talib killed that show. I even saw Jean Grae perform for the first time and their energy flows so well. I wish I could have salvaged the audio of those videos but I’m sure there will be more. Enjoy this video of Talib Kweli performing one of his hits, “Hot Thing.”

Shout out to my homie Spintelect!

Video: Theophilus London At The Key Club

Congrats to Theophilus London on his sold out show in Los Angeles!

Mr. London performed at the Key Club last night and the crowd was great! It was probably one of the few shoes that had such a balance between male and females and different types of nationalities. Glad to see that Theophilus fans come in every shape, sex and color. Check out footage from the show, above! The first video is his Marvin Gaye Cover, “I Want You” and the second video is “Why Even Try.”

Video: Steve-Ography x Big K.R.I.T.

Steve-Ography, founded by Steve-O of GFCNY, documents the lives of a range of creative acts, traveling from coast to coast. The talents of these acts fall within the realms of music, entertainment, fashion, photography, etc. In its first web series, P.O.V., Steve-Ography captures all aspects of artist’s lives and the point of view of everyone involved in their lives, from fans to the artist themselves.

For the fourth episode of P.O.V., Steve-Ography documents Big K.R.I.T.’s show for Billboard Magazine at SXSW. K.R.I.T. also performs Hometown Hero with Grillade.

I need Big K.R.I.T. to go on tour with Grillade soon. That will be one hell of a show.
