Earlier this week ScHoolboy Q released a trailer for his upcoming ‘Blank Face LP’ that gave the album a whole different creative angle. ScHoolboy is back with an 8-mintue video for “By Any Means” that has Kendrick Lamar going in with some vocals. It’s looking more and more like ScHoolboy will release his upcoming album in a LEMONADE-isque fashion.
REMINDER – the ‘Blank Face LP’ is dropping July 8th.
We’re a few weeks away from the release of ScHoolboy Q’s ‘Blank Face LP’ and Q gave us a preview for what’s to come with a cinematic trailer.
The trailer that is over a minute long shows Q running from the police, smoking a blunt with homies in his living room before his mom kicks them out and captures him behind bars. You’ll also see Q sporting a Houston Astros cap representing Hoover as he rides around the hood with some of his comrades.
It’ll be interesting to see if Q will release the album in a LEMONADE-isque fashion with full-length visuals.
ScHoolboy Q fooled everyone earlier this week when he tweeted the crying Michael Jordan meme face blacked out with the words “July 8th.” Everyone jumped to conclusions including myself with the Q troll.
Following the crying Jordan meme, ScHoolboy tweeted another image this time Donald Trump’s face blacked out.
Q went on ‘TMZ Live’ to clear the air on the confusion.
“The fact that people think that I would actually use [the Crying Jordan picture] as my album cover is funny,” Q explained on an episode of TMZ Live. “So I just trolled the people because as soon as I put it on my Twitter everybody just said, ‘ScHoolboy Q album cover,’ ‘ScHoolboy Q art.’ But they defeated the purpose of what I was doing, I have a concept behind it. Late last night I put out the Donald Trump cover, but I had a series of covers I was gonna put out.”
The “Blank Face” LP will officially drop July 8th.
