New Album: Logic – ‘Everybody’ [STREAM]

logic-everybody

About a year-and-a-half after releasing his gold-certified album ‘The Incredible True Story’, Logic drops what arguably is his most personable body of work to date in ‘Everybody’. The conscious hip hop album covers all sorts of racial and social topics, while staying true to his backpacking roots.

On the title track “Everybody,” Logic makes it known that is doesn’t matter what color, shape, gender, religion, or race you are, we are all equal. With “Black SuperMan” he fights off racism and classism, while taking shots at Donald Trump and Kanye West. The most eye-opening track on the album has to be “1-800-273-8255” featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid, where the rapper comforts suicidal individuals and tackles a major issue that often goes ignored.

The 13-track album includes additional contributions from Juicy J, Killer Mike, Black Thought, Chuck D, Big Lenbo, Neil deGrasse Tyson and No I.D. Stream it below.

New Music: Logic – “1-800-273-8255” Feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid [LISTEN]

logic-1-800-273-8255

Logic drops what looked like one of the most enticing singles, on his forthcoming ‘Everybody’ album in “1-800-273-8255” featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid. This song had everyone talking when he shared the track listing and fans caught wind of this powerful collaboration.

The title of the song is as powerful as the collaboration. The title of the song represents the phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline. “1-800-273-8255” sheds light on the issues a lot of suicidal individuals deal with and offers warmth and consolation. Hopefully this single can save someone’s life. Let’s take a minute to applaud Logic for tackling such an important subject that often goes ignored.

With his ‘Everybody’ album on the way, Logic offers a new single accompanied with a video on this action-packed Friday. The soulful ingle “Black SpiderMan” features Damian Lemar Hudson and talks about race issues while raising the topic that Spider-Man should be black.

The visuals show Logic riding around a neighborhood with a choir, sporting a black T-Shirt and glasses. During the journey which ends up in DownTown Los Angeles, Logic waves at people and stops to kiss his wife. The final scene of the clip has Logic meeting up with the contributors for his forthcoming album, being Juicy J, Khalid, and Big Lenbo.

“I’m just as black as my cousin Keisha / I’m biracial so bye, Felicia / Praise black Jesus, call the preacher / Maybe Jesus was black, maybe Jesus had dreads / Spider-Man should be black, I vote for [Donald] Glover instead,” raps Young Sinatra on the song.

‘Everybody’ will be dropping May 5th with features from Juicy J, Khalid, Big Lenbo, Killer Mike, Alessia Cara, Black Thought, and Chuck D.

LOGIC DROPS SURPRISE MIXTAPE

Logic went on a Q&A session with Power 106’s J. Cruz and Hot 97’s Ebro earlier this week, where he answered questions from both radio personalities as well as fans.

During the Q&A he didn’t mention anything about the new project titled, “Bobby Tarantino.” He did drop his new song “Slave” which is on the new project along with “Flexecution” and “Wrist” featuring Pusha T. As always Logic’s artwork is on point.

Logic is currently embarking on “The Endless Summer Tour” along with G-Eazy, YG and Yo Gotti. Get your tickets HERE.

Logic – “Wrist” feat. Pusha T [AUDIO]

logic-wrist-e1466531002128

Logic is definitely up to something!

The MC followed up “Flexecution” with a Zane Lowe premiere of his new song “Wrist” featuring Pusha T on Beats1 radio.

On the track Logic flicks his “Wrist” to cook bricks, as he raps about a drug lord’s story and the evils of the drug trade resulting in the downfall of a drug empire.

“It’s basically about this Colombian drug lord seeing the military raid his compound later in his life, thinking about the mistakes that he made,” he explained to Zane Lowe.

Pusha T follows up with vicious drug bars similar to what he did on his “Drug Dealers Anonymous” track, while placing himself in the Top 5. “Clockwise, counter clockwise/realest n***a in the top 5/other 4 ain’t rap about sh*t/I just rap for the blow side.”

With two new songs in the last two weeks it is safe to say Logic is working on a follow up album to last year’s ‘The Incredible True Story.’ If this song and last week’s “Flexecution” are a preview to what’s to come, it should be pretty fuego.
