It’s crazy to watch an artist grow before your eyes. I remember going to Fly Lo’s apartment like 5 years ago and building with him a little. Just listening to music and what not. I don’t even remember how I found out about him. I lost contact with him and next thing you know he’s doing festivals all over the world and making records like this. Big up to him!

You already know Frank Ocean had to make a stop in LA while on his channel ORANGE tour. According to twitter, he performed cuts off popular mixtape nostalgia, ULTRA and his recently released Def Jam debut channel ORANGE. Rap-Up was on hand to capture footage last night. Watch Frankie bring out special guest Earl Sweatshirt to perform the rap verse in “Super Rich Kids” in the video above and after the jump you can check out the performance for “Sweet Life” and “Forrest Gump.”

A couple days ago, Yuna asked her twitter fans if she should make Frank Ocean cover. Ummm… Hell yeah! Adding her own twist to the track, Yuna releases a live cover of Ocean’s first single off channel ORANGE, “Thinkin Bout You.”
We knew there had to be a Frank Ocean–Tyler, The Creator-collaboration somewhere on channel ORANGE even though we couldn’t find it on the digital copy many of us purchased Monday night. Looks like we were right.
On the physical copy of Ocean’s album out July 17th in stores everywhere (except Target), a bonus track titled “End/Golden Girl,” featuring a whopping 45-second feature from the Odd Future leader, will be available. “End” finishes the recorder-like conversations heard throughout the skits and “Golden Girl” is actually a feel good track which I wish was available as a single download. Frank Ocean made his television debut earlier tonight on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The crooner performed “Bad Religion” along with an orchestra of strings which added more of a melancholic effect. If you haven’t heard the news already, Channel Orange was released on iTunes not too long ago as well and if you’re looking to stream the album, then we’ve got you covered. Kudos to you Frank. Great performance.

The wait is over. Frank Ocean will be releasing an album through Def Jam on July 17. The title, channel ORANGE. The first release off the album, a 10-minute track titled “Pyramids”. Earlier today, Frank teased his fans with a video preview that included a snippet of “Pyramids.” It may also serve as a teaser to the music video for the single. Guess we’ll have to wait and find out.
