Following the altercation with Chris Brown, and amidst the rumors swirling around the internet that Frank was planning on pressing charges, the man himself took to his Tumblr to the address the situation, writing:

AS A CHILD I THOUGHT IF SOMEONE JUMPED ME IT WOULD RESULT IN ME MURDERING OR MUTILATING A MAN. BUT AS A MAN I AM NOT A KILLER. I’M AN ARTIST AND A MODERN PERSON. I’LL CHOOSE SANITY. NO CRIMINAL CHARGES. NO CIVIL LAWSUIT. FORGIVENESS, ALBEIT DIFFICULT, IS WISDOM. PEACE, ALBEIT TRITE, IS WHAT I WANT IN MY SHORT LIFE. PEACE.

Frank Ocean ft. OutKast – Pink Matter (Remix) (Audio)

outkast

I guess you can call this a reunion or the simple addition of Big Boi’s verse on an already Andre 3000-featured “Pink Matter.” Either way, it’s a step closer to a new OutKast track. Big Boi sent his highly-anticipated remix of “Pink Matter” to Elliott Wilson for the world to hear on Elliott’s #KeepItThoro show. The track has tags, which is actually Elliott’s infectious laugh, but stay tuned for the CDQ version coming soon.

UPDATE: CDQ now available below.

Big Boi To Reunite With Andre 3000 On New Version Of Frank Ocean’s “Pink Matter” (News)

Image taken from Instagram

Earlier this summer, Big Boi tweeted why he wasn’t featured on Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange along his Outkast other-half, Andre 3000. “Dre didn’t want an Outkast Record Coming out on anybody else.” Hmmm, it took only 6 months to flip that.

This past weekend, the ATL-ien instagram’d a piece of paper (posted above) with writing titled “Pink Matter.” Could it be a new updated verse? Well, the IG caption “Dropping a verse on this Frank Ocean ‘Pink Matter'” pretty much confirms it.

According to HipHopDX, the new version of “Pink Matter” featuring Outkast is set to be released next week. I think we all have high expectations for this one.

UPDATE: T.I.’s “Sorry” is next on the Outkast reunion list.

Frank Ocean Speaks On His Year & Artist Who Want To Work With Him (Video)

MTV caught up with Frank Ocean at GQ’s Magazine Men Of The Year party and asked him about his year “It’s a real peaceful but active year”, and who are some artist that want to work with him. “That’s not a problem. It’s not, like, a tragedy. It’s cool, it’s awesome, it just means people f**k with me, and that’s cool.”

Andrè 3000 Calls Frank Ocean An Icon (Video)

In a recent interview with FUSE  Andre 3000 called Frank Ocean an Icon.

“When I got the track [‘Pink Matter’], I just started writing to it. I’m just happy to be a part of that whole movement and his whole movement because he has become a whole ‘nother kind of icon in today’s age. I was just happy to be a part of that album.”

Only In Hollyweird w/ Justin Credible: Frank Ocean & Silkk The Shocker?

So this weekend was very eventful to say the least.Saturday, I was doing some shopping for my dj gig at Playhouse later that night, when out of the corner of my eye I spotted one of my favorite new artists. Well how new can he be? He sold out the Wiltern in like five minutes, performed on SNL, has really hot chicks in his latest video, and was featured on not one, but two songs on Jay Z & Kanye West’s “Watch The Throne” album. Yes, I bumped into Frank Ocean! I walked right up to him and said “I don’t mean to bug you but, I am a really big fan of your work”. He looked at me and said, “thank you. You look really F**CKIN familiar”, LOL.

I told him I worked for Power 106 and we talked for a few minutes. He was really cool. We actually ended up taking the elevator to our cars. I mentioned this on twitter and got tons of replies. I would like to answer questions I received the most right here, right now.

NO, Frank did not try to kiss me in the elevator, and YES, his car was just like mine except $75,000 dollars more expensive. -__-

He did mention he isin the studio working on a new album. Can’t wait to hear! Also, if anyone else cares, on Sunday, I bumped into SilkK The Shocker at Tacos Reyes in Woodland Hills while ordering three carne asada tacos w/ cheese. Yes, I’m talking about No Limit, “It Ain’t My Fault” Silkk the Shocker. He wasn’t as friendly, and he looked like he just got out of church and really didn’t want to be noticed. C’mon bro.

Till next time… As I always say “welcome to holly-weird, don’t let this town ruin you”.
