SURPRISE, SURPRISE!
With a whole month to spare, Bryson Tiller surprises fans by dropping his sophomore offering, ‘True to Self’. Earlier this week the ‘Trapsoul’ crooner announced he would be dropping June 23rd and shared a track list with no features listed.
The follow-up to 2015’s ‘Trapsoul’ is led by the single “Somethin Tells Me,” where he showcases his vocal skills. Throughout the album he exhibits his skills as a singer, songwriter, and even a rapper. On “Blowing Smoke” in particular Pen Griffey flexes with some intense barz.

Earlier this week with the track listing, I made some speculation that Drake and Travis Scott would contribute to the album. There is no Drake contribution, and Travis Scott collaborates with the production of “Don’t Get Too High,” but doesn’t sound off with a hook or verse.
“When you are being true to yourself, you are completely honest with what you feel, deeply value, and desire,” Bryson said. “It also means communicating your feelings wholeheartedly both with yourself and others, allowing your truth to flow through you and into the world.”
Along with the album, Bryson shared the video for the lead single “Somethin Tells Me.” In the video he plays the role of a photographer as he photographs a plethora of sexy models.
