J.Cole celebrated his birthday by kicking off VH1′s “Super Bowl Blitz: Six Nights + Six Concerts” last night in Queens New York. The show was hosted by Nick Cannon and Stacy Keibler, the first of six concerts took place at Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens College. Cole performed “Trouble”, “Work Out,” “Crooked Smile,” and his latest Born Sinner single “She Knows.”

J.Cole Performs “Power Trip” On The View (Video)

J.Cole performed his platinum single “Power Trip” on The View today. Cole also spoke the why he felt an apologize for his offensive lyric.

“As rappers, sometimes we try to play with words and be so clever and we take pride, but in this particular instance, it wasn’t clever, it was actually offensive,” said Cole. “The more I educated myself, the more embarrassed I got about it.”

J.Cole’s sophomore LP rises to the top this week with 58,000 copies sold. A rare feat where an album rises after its debut, Born Sinner now slides past Yeezus in overall sales selling 439,000 copies to date versus Kanye’s 431,000 units.

The Roc Nation/G.O.O.D. Music family of J. Cole, Kanye West, and Wale hold down the first three spots on Billboard’s “Top 200″ album charts respectively.
