Hip-Hop’s favorite power couple, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, threw a fundraiser event in support of President Obama at NYC’s 40/40 club on Tuesday night. The event was exclusive to a handful of attendees, who paid $40,000 each to attend the function. In all, the couple raised a total of $4 million. Beyoncé, who wore a stunning red dress, expressed her support for Obama: “I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama. We believe in his vision.”
The 44th President praised the couple, expressed how Beyoncé’s a role model for his daughters, and the connection he feels to the couple: “To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship.
