Even with all the success Bryson Tiller’s freshman album ‘Trapsoul’ had it never reached No. 1. However, it didn’t take long for Bryson to score his first chart-topping album, with his sophomore offering ‘True to Self’ taking the top spot.

Pen Griffey released the album a whole month early and still managed to score his first-ever No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, selling 107,000 equivalent album units (47,000 traditional) in its first week. ‘True to Self’ also reached 57,000 streaming equivalent albums and 2,000 track equivalent albums.

Kendrick Lamar’s ‘DAMN.’ follows Tiller’s latest offering. Lil Yachty’s ‘Teenage Emotions’ also peaked on the Billboard 200, coming in at No. 5. Yachty sold 46,000 units (20,000 traditional) and had the second highest debut behind ‘True to Self’.

Next up for Pen Griffey he will be headlining his “Set It Off Tour” along with supporting acts H.E.R. and Metro Boomin.
