glorious-1024x1024

To celebrate his 33rd birthday, Belly dropped a new joint called “Glorious,” where he torches the Danny Boy Styles-production led by heavy 808 drums. The track also appears to be the lead single and title track for his forthcoming album.

The album announcement follows a huge 2016 for Belly, who had one of the hottest songs last year in “Might Not” featuring The Weeknd. Belly also won the 2016  “Songwriter of the Year” at the SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) for his efforts on Beyonce’s “6 Inch” off her critically-acclaimed ‘Lemonade’ album.

Fittingly on the track the XO rapper talks about his success and how glorious he has been in life following his early struggles.

Belly’s ‘Glorious’ album is expected to drop sometime this summer. In the meantime he will be joining The Weeknd for the “Starboy: Legend of the Fall” tour along with Rae Sremmurd and 6lack.

The album is loaded with 12-tracks and features from some of the game’s illest lyricist like J. Cole on “Legendary,” ScHoolboy Q on “Rockabye Baby,” Styles P on “Super Predator,” and Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, and Meechy Darko of Flatbush Zombies on “Ring the Alarm.”

‘All-Amerikkkan Bada$$’ also includes the lead single “Devastated,” which has become a motivational anthem and the politically-charged “Land of the Free,” where Joey delivers a gut-wrenching message for Donald Trump and preaches advancement overall.

When discussing the album with Beats1 Joey said, “The real side of me, just the human side of me was feeling connected to it ’cause I felt so close to it.
