The-Chang-Project1

E-40’s protege, Nef The Pharaoh unleashes his new body of work, ‘The Chang Project’. Nef first broke out with his infectious single “Big Tymin,” which garnered a lot of national recognition. With his new project the Bay Area rapper looks to show his consistency, while expanding his portfolio.

‘The Chang Project’ boasts 15-tracks with features from Ty Dolla $ign, Mozzy, Larry June, Caleborate, Jay Ant, OMB Peezy, The Real Lil Kayla, Remedy, SOB x RBE, and more. It is also blessed with production from the hottest Bay Area producers like P-Lo, Cal-A, Architekz, The Two. Fifteens, in addition to others.

At SXSW Neffy told me with this project he intends to “show y’all who I am”.

“This is me, this me doing what I wanna do, the type of music I wanna do, the beats I wanna do, the artists I wanna f**k with. I don’t f**k with a lot of people,” he said. “I don’t really mix with a lot of n****z but with this I’m showing people who I mix with, who my friends are. It’s gonna be something great.”

“I really sat in the studio over a 48 hour time period and everybody came and actually sat down with me and worked with me on some Kanye shit, we really locked the studio down,” he went on to say. “I wasn’t answering calls, I wasn’t posting nothing on the Internet. It was just me and my friends, me and my people, it’s really hyphy.”

New Music: Logic – “1-800-273-8255” Feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid [LISTEN]

logic-1-800-273-8255

Logic drops what looked like one of the most enticing singles, on his forthcoming ‘Everybody’ album in “1-800-273-8255” featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid. This song had everyone talking when he shared the track listing and fans caught wind of this powerful collaboration.

The title of the song is as powerful as the collaboration. The title of the song represents the phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline. “1-800-273-8255” sheds light on the issues a lot of suicidal individuals deal with and offers warmth and consolation. Hopefully this single can save someone’s life. Let’s take a minute to applaud Logic for tackling such an important subject that often goes ignored.

New Music: DJ Khaled – “I’m The One” Feat. Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne & Quavo [WATCH]

Another one.

DJ Khaled blesses fans with his new single “I’m the One,” accompanied with a video. The song is a collaboration with some of the industry’s heaviest hitters in Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne, and Quavo.

The Eif Rivera-directed video had been teased earlier this year and Khaled dropped an official trailer yesterday, adding extra commotion.

In the video Khaled and friends find themselves at a lavish estate, where they host a pool party with a flock of beautiful women, pop bottles of Belaire Luxe and Ciroc Summer Colada. The group of friends are also shown smoking, playing croquet, and dancing around. In the beginning Khaled’s son, Ashad makes a cameo, sitting in a chair that says, Executive Producer.

“I’m the One” follows DJ Khaled’s “Shining” collaboration with Jay-Z and Beyoncé, which has already gone No. 1. The producer has already promised his new single will have the same success. Both singles will be on Khaled’s forthcoming ‘Grateful’ album, follow-up to last year’s ‘Major Key’. ‘Grateful’ is set to include other features from Drake, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Nas, Travis Scott, and pretty much the biggest in the game.

A few weeks ago Luda dropped his Ty Dolla $ign-assisted “Vitamin D” song along with a video and has said he’s working on an album. On a non-music note the rapper-turned-actor has the No. 1 movie in the country with “The Fate of the Furious” and was recently named the new host of the “Fear Factor”.
