Video: Pac Div Live At The Key Club

Pac Div performed at the Key Club in Los Angeles on Thursday and had the crowd going wild! It was my first time watching the trio perform and their hyped up set is a must-see for any fan. Check out Pac Div performing “Anti-Freeze” and “Mayor.” The photographers dance and a few people make it rain. You’ll see.

Oh yeah, shout out to the girl that was yelling “suu woo” in my ear. You can definitely hear it in the videos.

Audio: Outasight – Figure 8 (Prod. By Matt Max)

Just as I was about to describe this song, Outasight tweeted this…

Perfect timing. “Figure 8” is part of a 5-track project that goes by the same title, Figure 8, and will be available April 26th.

Audio: Curren$y – Ventilation (Prod. By Alchemist)

The artwork and tracklist was released a few days ago and in orderly fashion, Curren$y releases one of the tracks off Covert Coup, which is produced entirely by Alchemist. I’m still waiting on that Scottie Pippen track featuring Freddie Gibbs to be released. It’s coming! Covert Coup drops April 20th. What a coincidence.

Video: Beastie Boys – Fight For Your Right (Revisited)

I love that the Beastie Boys are releasing a sequel to an imaginary album. While Hot Sauce Committee Part Two is set to drop May 3rd, the trio have released a trailer for their 30-minute short film which includes appearances by Will Ferrell, Seth Rogen, Jack Black, Susan Sarandon, Will Arnett, Danny McBride, Ted Danson and other recognizable faces. Watch the trailer above.

Video: Dom Kennedy, Freddie Gibbs & Casey Veggies At Fader Showcase (MTV RapFix)

Props to MTV News covering events that showcase independent and upcoming artists. A little birdie told me that MTV News will be airing segments highlighting LA hip hop artists in a few weeks. Yes!

The free Fader event, which took place Tuesday, had three solid acts, Dom Kennedy, Freddie Gibbs and Casey Veggies. Gangsta Gibbs, who recently signed with Young Jeezy’s label, Corporate Thugz Entertainment, is preparing to release his next project, Baby Faced Killa. West coast MC Dom Kennedy is prepping Westside With Love 2 and is leaning toward a May release for the project. It seemed like one hell of a show. Salty I had to miss it.

Our own LA Leaker and ex-convict DJ SourMilk even had a mention in the RapFix article. Woot!
