Benny The Butcher Talks Meeting Kanye For The First Time & Gives Update On Drake Collaboration [WATCH]

One third of the hip-hop trio Griselda, Benny The Butcher stopped through to chop it up with Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk of the LA Leakers to speak on the projects he’s picked up since the start of quarantine. While the coronavirus pandemic has allowed the emcee to give more attention to his pen since, Butcher does confess that it feels good to be able to hyper focus on writing and being locked in his studio.

Butcher also details what it was like meeting Kanye West for the first time and how the business and creativity of the industry allows him to still stay humble and grateful for his opportunities. The “Upside Down” rapper goes on to discuss his recent single drops with “Deal Or No Deal”, who he turns to for advice, and the chemistry of Griselda.

New Music: Wiz Khalifa – “Top Down” [LISTEN]

Wiz Khalifa drops the convertible anthem with Harry Fraud on the beat for his new single “Top Down”.

An airy spaced out vocal sample with banging trap drums underneath is the perfect kinda slow motion drift that makes blowing the brains out the coupe so cinematic.

Play this at extremely loud volumes to feel the full effect, even if it annoys your neighbors and the police come knocking at your door.

New Music: Jorja Smith – “By Any Means” [LISTEN]

The baddest ting out the United Kingdom, Jorja Smith slows tings down with a ghostly operatic sample on new joint “By Any Means”.

Making a Malcolm X like proclamation, Jorjs says she will fight her enemies “By Any Means”. She’s spent too much time dealing with little white lies and hurting in her head.

Jorja got a little Rihanna to her cadence and vocal tone and it’s clear why Drake was so smitten. Play this with the top down when the sun sets and the evening burns slow as summer closes out and gives way to a new season.

New Music: Russ – “One More Chance” [LISTEN]

The ladies wanted Biggie Smalls to give them one more chance, but this time around it’s Russ simping and begging for his lady back.

No Isley Brothers, No Faith Evans, and no Puff Daddy whispering take that take that. Russ does get emotional and honest about getting his boo back tho, no matter how much money he has, he want that old ting back.

If you fucked up this summer, it might help you lock things down for the upcoming cuffin’ season, but I don’t think it’ll be strong enough to help Tory Lanez get Meg back.

New Music: NLE Choppa – “Narrow Road” Feat. Lil Baby [LISTEN]

NLE Choppa taps in one of the current hip-hop heavyweights, Lil Baby for their first collaboration on a track called “Narrow Road.”

This should come as no surprise as the Memphis rapper recently rapped over Lil Baby’s “Emotionally Scarred” back in May.

With their first record together, NLE Choppa slows it down instead of his usual energetic chattering while providing authenticity with his distinguished flow. Meanwhile, Lil Baby came through with his well-known singsong rapping
style as he reflects the downside of having all the success.
