Even on TDE’s “The Championship Tour,” Jay Rock is in album mode and has announced his first major label album ‘Redemption’. The long-awaited LP will be his third overall and follow 2015’s ‘90059’. It is slated to be released on June 15th.
Along with the announcement, Jay Rock unveiled the dark album artwork, which shows him on a street at dawn, looking up at the sky. The photo was shot by TDE president Dave Free, who handles a lot of the label’s art direction.
Recently the Watts rapper released the first single off the album titled “Win.” He has been spotted working in the studio with ScHoolboy Q, Tee Grizzley, and YG recently. It is expected that the TDE roster will be featured on the album.
Rock will continue on “The Championship Tour” along with Kendrick Lamar, SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and other TDE members. The tour runs through June 16th, a day after his album drops.
