It’s a sad day in hip-hop as Long Island rapper Craig Mack has passed away due to heart failure at a hospital near his Walterboro, South Carolina home early Monday morning. He was 46-years-old and survived by his wife and two children, whom are both adults.
The former Bad Boy signee made a name for himself with his platinum-selling “Flava In Ya Ear” single in 1994. The single drew a lot of attention and prompted a remix that featured The Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes, and LL Cool J.
Mack would go on to have a short-lived career releasing one album and trading in the fame for a life of deep religious conviction, which led to his move to Walterboro. According to sources nobody got to understand why he stepped away from hip-hop, but there is a documentary coming soon that explains the background.
Stay tuned for more info as it unfolds.
