J. Cole ft. Miguel – Power Trip (Audio)

Power Trip

After releasing five tracks that won’t be making the final cut, J. Cole told fans, in a letter posted on his blog, that he will be dropping the first single this week. As promised, Cole delivers the first single, “Power Trip,” from his upcoming sophomore album. Collaborating again with Miguel, the Fayetteville, NC native rhymes about a girl who’s running laps in his mind saying, “got me up all night/All I’m singing is love songs.” Stream and purchase the single below.

J. Cole – Truly Yours (EP)

Truly Yours

Just a few moments ago, J. Cole answered the prayers of his fans and took to twitter to release not just one but five new and unreleased tracks. The EP, given the name Truly Yours because of the title of his blog post, contains solid tracks that will not be on his upcoming album. He does, however, reveal that he will be releasing the first single off his sophomore album this week. Read his letter below and download the EP, below!

It’s time.

I appreciate you giving me the time I needed to grow, experiment, and find the direction for my 2nd album.. And I have.
Along the way I’ve recorded at least 4 albums worth of material, lots of it being unfinished demo versions waiting to be polished up, some of them are great songs and important stories that just won’t make the album (either they don’t fit Sonically, don’t fit Theme, or there’s just not enough space) .

Tonight, I want to give you a few of these songs because you deserve them. It’s hard as fuck for me to keep all this music from you for so long, so I know it’s been hard for you to wait. Thank you for your patience. Vibe out to these songs in their raw form, no polish.. just a lot of my soul..

The wait is over.

Truly Yours,

Born Sinner

PS- 1st single coming this week. The album is hands down my best work yet. Can’t wait to share.

Lil Wayne Has A New Face Tattoo, J. Cole’s Album Will Be Delayed & Other Things We Learned Today (News)

The year has barely begun and Lil Wayne‘s forehead managed to make headlines on day 2. For those of you who haven’t heard or seen (like you can really take your eyes off the huge picture above this blurb), Lil Wayne added a new tramp stamp to his already huge collection of tramp stamps in an area that quite hard to miss if he isn’t wearing a hat. Yep, Wayne’s fourhead has been branded with a tattoo that says “BAKED” imitating the skateboard brand Baker logo.

Anyways, that’s not all that happened today. Someone’s sophomore album was delayed and other stuff, after the jump.
