The Eagles are going after Frank Ocean for his rendition of “Hotel California” titled “American Wedding” found on Nostalgia, Ultra. Ocean says he didn’t make any money from it and he’s pretty much paying homage. [RR]

Justin Credible’s “Incredible 11 of 2011”

2011 will be known as the year of planking, the year when people turned in their BlackBerry in for an iPhone (RIP Steve Jobs), the year we lost musical greats Amy Winehouse and Heavy D and the year when Jay-Z and Beyonce produced an heir to the throne. 2011 also marked a great year in music.

Since everyone is doing a top-something-of-2011 post, I thought it would only be right and put our two cents in and give you the eleven albums/mixtapes that I vibed with in twenty eleven. Some of the projects you may be surprised with and some you may already have on your list but whatever the cause is check what I found post-worthy after the jump.

Video: Frank Ocean Finally Performs In New York City

After canceling on NYC a few hours before the show was about to start, Frank Ocean finally took his talents to the Big Apple. Every Frank Ocean show so far seemed to be uniform. He might have performed a different track here and there but his appearance and stage presence stayed the same. All of the shows were sold out and it was only the first tour? Nice work Mr. Ocean.
