This wish is a dream come true. Just when you thought the original “Wishing” couldn’t get better, it just did. DJ Drama’s “Wishing” remix features Fabolous, Trey Songz, Tory Lanez, Jhene Aiko, and Chris Brown. With these new dope musical features the revamped track really sets the mood.
Fabolous gives his offering to the great hip-hop summer its been with his new mixtape ‘Summertime Shootout 2.’
‘Summertime Shootout 2’ is a follow up to last year’s ‘Summertime Shootout’.
Some of the hottest artists in the game right now are featured on the tape. Rihanna, Future, Chris Brown, Wale, Lil Uzi Vert, Tory Lanez and Trey Songz all collab with Fab on either a blend, original or remix track.
Last year’s ‘Summertime Shootout’ has Fab talking to his girl while talking about the show ‘Narcos.’ On this one he give mention to 50 Cent’s ‘Power’ show.
Fab can do no wrong with this new shit. Definitely the kind of quality you want from a sequel. Press play below and ride into the sunset.
My TOP track: “Check On Me” feat. Future & DJ Esco
Fabolous teams up with Trey Songz for the “Sex With Me [Rihmix].” Everytime these get on a track together, they make murk it. The “Rihmix” will be on Fabolous’ ‘Summertime Shootout 2: The Level Up,’ due to drop this Friday.
QUOTABARZ
“When the flex is amazing the sex is amazing/bought her a chain cuz the neck is amazing.”
“Walkin’ around here like you Rihanna/girl that ass is reretarded/she get finished and rerestart it/make that movie I rerecord it/ima make love to the RihRihmix.”
Jumpoff Joe Budden has taken time away from coming at Drake to drop the visuals for his song “Flex” featuring Tory Lanez and Fabolous. The video takes you to an intimate party with lots of beautiful women and pillow fights.
An unfortunate shooting broke out at T.I.’s concert in New York City earlier this week that lead to three shot and one murdered.
The man murdered was Ronald McPhatter, 33, a member of Troy Ave’s BSB entourage. McPhatter was an associate of Troy’s and also his personal trainer.
In a video released by the venue you can see Troy retaliating for the shooting of his deceased friend. Troy was later charged with attempted murder for shooting in an open club.
T.I. had nothing to do with the shooting and later released a statement on his socials that read:
Let’s hope senseless acts of violence like this don’t continue in the future.
GUCCI MANE RELEASED
For months hip-hop fans tweeted and sported shirts that read “Free Gucci.” This week the Atlanta rapper was released from a federal correctional facility in Terre Haute, Indiana, after serving roughly 39 months on weapons charges.
Guwop is known to be a workhorse and wasted no time getting back to work. In less than 24 hours of being free, he released a track titled “First Day Out Tha Feds,” which was followed up with a mixtape.
‘First Day Out Tha Feds’ the mixtape dropped last night at fittingly, 10:17 p.m. — an homage to the rapper’s 1017 Bricksquad label.
In just one day the mixtape was streamed over a million times! Good to see Gucci back out here. Stream the full mixtape below:
THE WEEKND & BELLY CANCEL APPEARANCE ON KIMMEL
Apparently YG and Nipsey Hussle aren’t the only two names in hip-hop that feel a certain way about Donald Trump. The Weeknd and Belly recently canceled their scheduled performance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ because they didn’t want to be associated with the Republican delegate according to The Associated Press.
Both XO artists were in LA this week to record their performance for the song “Might Not” before learning Trump was going to be on the same episode causing them to pull out. Read Belly’s statement below:
“I feel like the way I was raised was to be able to see through all the titles in this world — from religion to race,” Belly said in a statement. “I just didn’t want to feel like I was a part of a celebration for somebody who has beliefs that majority of us don’t agree with.”
“I’m here on a campaign of positivity and love and to contribute what I can to music,” Belly continued. “I create songs people go to sleep and wake up to, songs that they fall in love to. For me, being Muslim and being somebody that appreciates my access here in America, I love the fact that I’m able to be here. To play my part in this business is a privilege and a beautiful thing. The fact that I could lose that ability through the actions of someone such as Donald Trump isn’t right to me. At all.”
Nice to see artists with their stature take a stance.
ALL THE WAY UP REMIXES
One of the hottest songs of the year is Fat Joe & Remy Ma’s “All The Way Up,” produced by Cool & Dre.
When a song is as hot as “All The Way Up” everyone wants to hop on the remix or spit something to it. This week Jay-Z dropped some solid bars over the instrumental for the “official remix.”
Jigga wasn’t the only one to spit bars over the cold beat as Meek Mill and Fabolous also had a remix of their own, followed by Jadakiss.
Listen to all the remixes below and tell us in the comments which one you think is best.

L.A. TO HOST SUPERBOWL
The last time the Superbowl was hosted in L.A. was 1980! This week it was announced that the city will be hosting the event in 2021.
That’s a major victory for a city that finally got a NFL team after a drought of over 20 years. It came as no surprise tho with L.A. being a major market and a very attractive city.
Can’t wait to take part in all the festivities and the full experience. It’s gonna be litty!
Meek Mill is feeling himself after winning a Billboard Music Award. Mr. DreamChaser just put out a remix of the Cool & Dre produced “All The Way Up” featuring Fabolous, a day after Hov was featured on the official remix. Meek goes all the way in on Drake to reignite the beef many thought was done and over with after Drizzy’s “Summer Sixteen” and “Back 2 Back.” As for Fab he’s just on there being himself, spitting crazy punchlines known to put you in a coma.
Kendrick Lamar just can’t miss and his recent project, ‘Untitled Unmastered’ ranking number 1 on the Billboard 200 Charts just further proves his dominance in the rap game.
Despite dropping the project the same week as Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz dropped their EP and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis released theirs respectively. Kendrick was still able to outsell the duos, that’s a one man wrecking crew.
The 7-time Grammy winner has sold over 175,000 units putting him back on that top spot. Around this time last year K. Dot was holding the top crown for his sophomore album, ‘To Pimp A Butterfly.’
Jada and Fab are known to spit vicious lyrics with some mean punchlines and this week the two confirmed that they will be releasing a joint mixtape titled, ‘Freddy Vs. Jason.’
Both New York MCs have appeared on tracks like Young Jeezy’s “OJ” together in addition to others.
There is no release date set as of now but be on the lookout for the mixtape to drop soon as Fab hinted on his Instagram account.

DESIIGNER SHADES FUTURE
A few weeks ago footage of Future taking subliminal shots at Desiinger surfaced on the Internet. This past week Desiigner got some redemption at the Atlanta rapper while he performed at SXSW.
Desiigner made it clear to the crowd that he is not a knockoff or imitation of Future and then proceeded to drop his newest song, “Pluto.”
If you recall “Pluto” is also the name of Future’s first album.
The whole situation is weird especially considering the fact that both rappers sound almost alike.
Check out the videos and Desiigner’s new song, “Pluto.”
Rihanna will be honored with the Rock Star Award at this year’s BET’s Black Girls Rock which will be premiering April 5.

The song, “This Is For My Girls” was unveiled Wednesday as part of Barack Obama’s keynote at SXSW.
Although Michelle doesn’t drop any vocals on the song, you will hear Missy Elliot, Janelle Monae, Zendaya, Kelly Clarkson and Lea Michelle all featured on the song.
“This Is For My Girls” is available for purchase on iTunes. All proceeds will go to the Peace Corps Let Girls Learn Fund. Listen to the snippet:
Fabo drops his new project ‘Summertime Shootout’ where he puts his own flava over The Weeknd’s “Tell You Friends”, and Bryson Tiller “Sorry Not Sorry”, as well as a remix to LL Cool J’s ’90s hit “Doin’ It” featuring Nicki Minaj and Trey Songz, and more!
