Drake Shares The Track Listing & Features For ‘Scorpion’ Album [STREAM]

The time is almost here for Drake to unleash his highly-anticipated ‘Scorpion’ album, as we’re only hours away from the release. Drizzy’s already owning the day by building the unneeded buzz up with with the track listing and features for the album.

‘Scorpion’ will indeed be a double album as many predicted after a billboard included text that read, “A SIDE” and “B SIDE.” Containing a total of 25-tracks the Noah “40 Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib-executive produced album will have features from JAY Z, Micheal Jackson, Ty Dolla $ign, and the late Static Major.

In addition recent singles like the chart-topping “Nice for What,” which will land on the B side, the record-breaking “God’s Plan” and “I’m Upset” will also make the album.

Billboards have popped up in cities like Toronto, London, and more recently New York with promotion for the albums and even song titles on some.

Many people who love to hate Drake will definitely help add streams as they shuffle through songs in hopes of finding some sort of response to Pusha T’s scathing “The Story of Adidon” diss track, which exposed Drizzy.

Upon release the album will be certified double platinum, as streams for “God’s Plan” and “Nice for What” will all go towards the total album streams.

New Music: 2 Chainz – “Bigger Than You” Feat. Drake & Quavo [LISTEN]

During this year’s all-star weekend in L.A. 2 Chainz announced his next album ‘Rap Or Go to the League’. Since then we haven’t really got much album promotion but it appears that’s all changing with Tity Boi starting the rollout by dropping “Bigger Than You” featuring Drake and Quavo.

Over the Murda Beatz-produced track, Chainz begins the album campaigning with a crazy Quavo hook and Drizzy verse. The track is loaded with braggadocio bars about each rapper’s bigger than life lifestyle.

Drake Announces ‘Scorpion’ Album Release Date, Shares Artwork & Drops “I’m Upset” Video [PEEP]

Since Pusha T’s scathing “The Story of Adidon” diss track, Drake has been quieter than usual on social media and disappeared from the spotlight. “Looking for revenge” and maybe some redemption, The 6 God announced the release date for his forthcoming ‘Scorpion’ album.

In an Instagram post, Drizzy made the announcement with a simple caption that read, “JUNE 29 2018,” along with a scorpion emoji. In the post he also shared the cover artwork, which is a black-and-white headshot of himself with his “Aubrey Graham” signature and “Scorpion 2018” in the bottom right corner.

The majority of Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ album was recorded in his hometown of Toronto, as many pictures have surfaced of him locked away in his T.O. home studio. He has also spent a vast majority of time in Toronto. During Drake Night at the Raptors’ game he told fans in attendance, “I’m working on this new album for the city.”

Drizzy has been releasing an album almost every year since 2012. ‘Scorpion’ follows up last year’s chart-topping ‘More Life’ album.

Along with the major album announcements, Drake also shared the video for his recent single “I’m Upset.” The Karena Evans-directed visual takes fans down memory lane as Drizzy has a “Degrassi” reunion with cast members from the old show.

Former stars of the show including Jay & Silent Bob get together for a reunion party at Degrassi Community School. In one scene OVO members chase down the man who shot Jimmy (Drake) in the show.

New Music: Pusha T – “The Story Of Adidon” [LISTEN]

Shit just escalated in the Drake and Pusha T beef saga with the ‘Daytona’ rapper coming back with a vicious response to The 6 God’s recent “Duppy Freestyle” on “The Story of Adidon.”

Over JAY-Z’s “The Story of O.J.” instrumental, King Push gets extra personal coming for Drake’s mom, dad, OVO 40, and raises questions about his alleged baby with a porn star (LOW BLOWS!). Adidon is actually Drake’s alleged baby with Sophie Brussaux, who is an ex video vixen and has appeared in some adult films.

New Music: Drake – “I’m Upset” [LISTEN]

More chune for ya head top.

Coming off a lyrical attack on Pusha T and Kanye West, Drake is “back to this album” with his newest single “I’m Upset.”

While he waits for Pusha’s response, Drizzy floats over a slower tempo instrumental and comes for naysayers and people coming at him. He also expresses being undervalued despite all the work he’s put in throughout his career.

New Music: Drake – “Duppy Freestyle” [LISTEN]

Well, that didn’t take long.

Pusha T made a lot of noise with his recently-released ‘Daytona’ album and most-notably with his “Infrared” single, where he dissed Drake, Lil Wayne, and Birdman. Drizzy wastes no time by responding with his “Duppy (Freestyle)” less than 24-hours later.

On the savage response Drake comes for Pusha T and Kanye West with a plethora of diss lines opening with, “What do you really think of the n***a making your beats? I’ve done things for him I thought he never would need / Father had to stretch his hands & get it from me.”

He continues by directly responding to Pusha’s top 5 “Infrared” line saying, “You’re NOT even Top 5 as far as your label talent goes.”

Enough of the lines, just listen to the whole thing below. That boy couldn’t even wait to drop it on OVOSOUNDRADIO tomorrow. I’m sick.

New Music: Lil Baby – “Yes Indeed” Feat. Drake [LISTEN]

While celebrating the release of Preme’s album ‘Light of Day’ earlier this month, a preview of a new Lil Baby and Drake track surfaced on Instagram. The song which was originally dubbed “Pikachu (No Keys),” was officially released today as “Yes Indeed” and was played in full during Saturday’s episode of OVOSOUND Radio.

On the Wheezy-produced beat Drizzy raps, “Wheezy produced it and Weezy F. made me / Booked for three years, man, you can’t even book me / Cartier glasses, I won’t even peek at you / Yellow Ferrari like Pikachu.”

Drake Announces New Album ‘Scorpion’ + Release Date [PEEP]

Drake has been unstoppable this year breaking streaming records with the three singles he has released in “God’s Plan,” “Diplomatic Immunity,” and “Nice For What,” which have all charted. Looking to keep his domination going, The 6 God has announced his next album ‘Scorpion’.

The forthcoming album will be Drizzy’s fifth overall and expected to be released sometime in June of this year, given no delays. Drake made the announcement earlier today in an Instagram post that showed him wearing a black bomber jacket that said, “Scorpion by Drake: June Twenty Eighteen.” Meanwhile on his caption he wrote, “📀JUNE 2018.”

📀 JUNE 2018

A post shared by champagnepapi (@champagnepapi) on

‘Scorpion’ was apparently recorder in his hometown of Toronto, where he has spent long amounts of time recently. A few months ago during “Drake Night” at the Toronto Raptors fame he took center court to say, “I’m working on this new album for the city.”

He’s been spotted in the studio with frequent collaborators Noah “40” Shebib and Boi-1da and has been rumored to have worked with Metro Boomin’, Murda Beatz, Pi’erre Bourne, Bad Bunny, London On Da Track, and others.

‘Scorpion’ will be his first album since 2016’s ‘Views’, although he released ‘More Life’ last year, but considered it an album. To start the year he released the two-track ‘Scary Hours’ EP, which included “God’s Plan” that spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

The title of the album is definitely an ode to his zodiac sign of scorpio, as his birthday is October 24th. In his 2006 debut mixtape ‘Room for Improvement’, he had a song called “A Scorpio’s Mind” featuring Virginia rapper, Nickleus F.

Everybody stop what you’re doing…Drake has followed through with his word of dropping some new music produced by Murda Beatz and it’s a gem. Sampling Lauryn Hill’s “Ex Factor,” Drizzy puts together a women-empowering anthem, which he casts some of the most powerful urban feminine talent.

The Karena Evans-directed video includes appearances from Tracee Ellis-Ross, Tiffany Haddish, Rashida Jones, Issa Rae, Yara Shahidi, Zoe Saldana, Michelle Rodriguez, and many more.

Drake Readies His New Murda Beatz-Produced Single [PEEP]

While Murda Beatz was on a Instagram Live session last night, Drake pulled up to reveal some exciting news. The 6 God said his next single was “dropping soon produced by Chef Murda,” putting the session in a frenzy.

Drizzy and Murda have collaborated on a plethora of songs already like “No Long Talk” and “Portland” off his last album ‘More Life’, Nicki Minaj’s “No Frauds,” French Montana’s “No Shopping,” and Gucci Mane’s “Back on Road.” The aforementioned singles have all been straight fire, so we could expect the same from the impending single.

Drake recently said at a Toronto Raptor’s game that he is working on an album “for the city.” It is unclear when that is dropping and if he will release another mini EP like ‘Scary Hours’ before going live with that.

Over the weekend Pharrell unleashed a remix to N*E*R*D’s “Lemon” on OVOSOUNDRADIO that included a verse from Drake.

Stay tuned for any updates.
