Video: Rich Hil ft. Dom Kennedy – It Ain’t Really Nuthin

Haven’t heard much of Rich Hil‘s music but I’m feeling this track “It Ain’t Really Nuthin” featuring LA’s own Dom Kennedy. Rich’s raspy flow is different but flows well with the tripped out production. It’s not too late to catch up with the Warner Bros. signee, his project, Support Your Local Drug Dealer, drops soon. By the way, did you know Rich Hil was Tommy Hilfiger’s son? I bet you did. I’m late.

Directed by Topshelf Junior.

ScHoolboy Q, Dom Kennedy and Curren$y flow nicely over this groovy beat. This track is so smooth. Don’t forget, Habits & Contradictions drops on iTunes at midnight.

Sidenote: Curren$y and Dom Kennedy will be performing in Pomona tonight. How fresh would it be to see ScHoolboy Q perform this track onstage with Dom and Curren$y? Just a thought.

Justin Credible’s “Incredible 11 of 2011”

2011 will be known as the year of planking, the year when people turned in their BlackBerry in for an iPhone (RIP Steve Jobs), the year we lost musical greats Amy Winehouse and Heavy D and the year when Jay-Z and Beyonce produced an heir to the throne. 2011 also marked a great year in music.

Since everyone is doing a top-something-of-2011 post, I thought it would only be right and put our two cents in and give you the eleven albums/mixtapes that I vibed with in twenty eleven. Some of the projects you may be surprised with and some you may already have on your list but whatever the cause is check what I found post-worthy after the jump.

Video: adidas Original – Respect The West (w/ Kendrick Lamar, Dom Kennedy, YG & Casey Veggies)

I can’t believe I missed this event! Definitely chose the wrong night to stay at home. I know I’m late in posting it. Six days to be exact. And?

Soaring West Coast artists Kendrick Lamar (who helped launch the adidas Originals 2011 boot collection), Dom Kennedy, YG and Casey Veggies recently shut down Los Angeles for the adidas Original & MMXLII present RESPECT THE WEST showcase. Hosted in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, RESPECT THE WEST catered a unique, live-music experience to over 400 industry tastemakers and influencers, which coincided with the famed sneaker convention, Sneaker Con.

Along with exciting performances from all four rising artists and a DJ set by DJ Drewbyrd, RESPECT THE WEST was complete with an open bar, delicious food trucks, fun photo booths and of course amazing adidas Original giveaways.

Adidas always throws legit events.
