Elijah Blake ft. Common – X.O.X. (Lyric Video)

Now you can sing along with Def Jam artist Elijah Blake as he croons about missing his ex and you can also rap along with Common on “X.O.X.”

Here’s what he had to say about the track:

“Everyone has that one ex that, whether we do it admittedly or not, we still wonder about from time to time. It could be a “what if” type if thing or a “Who’s loving you now” kind of feeling but if you’ve ever truly loved it’s basically inevitable, so this song represents my experience with that struggle. “

If you’re not familiar with the artist who penned Usher’s “Climax” single, well then Complex did a pretty good job at summing his accolades up. Read it here. If you like what you’re hearing, then download his EP, Bijoux 22 here.

G.O.O.D. Music Covers Complex’s 2012 August/September Issue

Complex did an amazing job with this video (view after the jump). Can’t wait for the issue to drop! While the article, written by Complex‘s editor-in-chief Noah Callahan-Bever, features all the G.O.O.D. Music members, here’s a snippet of a question asked to unofficial member 2 Chainz.

Can you tell me what the nature of your relationship with G.O.O.D. is?

2 Chainz: I’m not officially signed, paperwork-wise, to G.O.O.D. Music. But I have a great rapport with ’Ye. He called me before Watch the Throne came out. I’m an only child. I’ve got trust issues. So I don’t have a best friend, a brother, sister—nothing. Stuff was happening in my life that I couldn’t tell nobody. I didn’t have anybody in my life that I could tell, like, “’Ye just called me.”

I’ve talked to ’Ye 1,000 times about trying to make this situation work for the both of us, so it won’t feel like anyone is getting used or anything. I’m in a position in life where I like talking about things like that. I came from a situation with DTP, being under Luda, where I got a phobia. Sometimes when an artist signs another artist, they’re so worried about themselves. And with ’Ye, he helps everybody.

Luke Christopher – TMRW, TMRW w/ The L.A. Leakers (Mixtape)

Hmmm… Where to begin… This shit is amazing. Our guy, Jason Salvador, pitched us on doing a mixtape with a kid named Luke Christopher who we weren’t really familiar with. Being that Jason is family, we decided to give the music a listen and DAMN were we happy that we did. Luke Christopher not only writes his own music, but he produces most of it as well. He produced this whole tape with the exception of 2 records. I’m not gonna ask you to download this, because if you don’t now, it will end up in your iPod eventually. Good, quality Hip-Hop. You’re welcome in advance.
