If you are familiar with Drakeo the Ruler then you know he is currently caught up in the criminal justice system as the District Attorney refiled charges against him in which he was recently acquitted of. It’s clear they’re trying to do Drakeo dirty and we ain’t standing for it.
The L.A. native refused to be held down, as his hustler spirit prevailed through the release of his new album titled ‘Thank You For Using GTL’, named after the Global Telephone Link system in which Drakeo used to record his verses. No mics, filters or studio, straight from the prison phone to producer Joog’s recording system.
“We had a few of the songs previously recorded but most of it was all done through GTL…it wasn’t that hard to do with my studio set-up,” said Joog, who was on a conference call with Drakeo and myself.
The 18 tracks on the project are produced by JoogSZN and includes features from ALLBLACK, Lil 9, Rio Da Young OG, and JoogSZN himself.
