This year’s XXL Freshman class has been under fire by critics, who believe not every artist on the list was worthy. One of the few names that has got praise off the list is New York rapper, A Boogie With Da Hoodie.
XXL started rolling out their 2017 Freshman class freestyles today. The first one they let off his A Boogie’s. The freestyle is accompanied by an interview with A Boogie, where he names his musical inspirations and artists.
“My biggest influences, I would have to say, JAY-Z, he in the top 5, Nas, Lauryn Hill, and Adele,” he said. “Word. She in the top 5.”
There’s been a rumor swirling today that A Boogie will release his frehman album tomorrow. Let’s wait and see. In the meantime press play below.
