From about 2007-2010, Lil Wayne and T-Pain were regarded as some of the hottest artists out. The two collaborated on several tracks like Pain’s “Can’t Believe It” and others. Through that time they were frequent collaborators and rumors swirled of a joint album. Almost 10-years later the duo drops the ‘T-Wayne’ album which has been sitting on Pain’s hard drive since 2009.
The project includes 8-tracks that are very nostalgic for anyone who was in high school like me back then or was around. Led by the first track “He Rap, I Sing” the project showcases Pain’s infectious auto-tuned hooks, raps, and Weezy’s lost barz.
One of the biggest factors the project didn’t drop sooner was Wayne’s jail bid in 2010. Pain went on Twitter earlier and let it be known this project isn’t for newbies and urged for Weezy’s ‘C5’ to be freed. As you know it is currently being held hostage by Birdman.
This ain't for y'all new niggas. These the lost files from '09 and I'm tired of em just sittin on my hard drive. #FreeC5
