Having a career that has spanned from the inception of Southern trap to club smashes and classic anthems for the streets, Yo Gotti is one of the OG’s. The Memphis legend who produced classics like “Act Right” has now returned with some of his first solo music since his 2017 album ‘I Still Am‘, and is accompanied by the star power of Lil Uzi Vert on his new single “Pose.”  

Over an eerie soundscape of thunderous bass and a harsh, creaky sample, Gotti stunts harder than Birdman and drops bars about the pros and cons of photography, especially concerning women and illegal activities. With his anticipated project Trapped in the works, Gotti has professed a renewed hunger for his music which is a huge W for everybody.

Out of all the talented female artists Hip-Hop has been flooded with in the past few years, Rapsody has emerged from the pack in a class of her own. And following a fantastic album in Laila’s Wisdom, the pride of 9th Wonder’s JAMLA Records is back with her newest project, ‘EVE‘.

With every track being dedicated to a different inspirational and legendary black female, the project features both legends (Queen Latifah, GZA), popping up and comers (K. Roosevelt, Mereba), and stars like J. Cole and J.I.D.. With this cohesive and standout body of work, the North Carolina wordsmith has cemented her status as not just one of the best female MCs doing her thing at the moment, but in history.

With a fusion of classic G-Funk and hard-hitting chronicles for the streets, G. Perico has long-proven he’s one of the premier artists of LA Hip-Hop and the South Central MC has now hit us with ‘Ten Eight‘, his newest project.

Perico keeps this project incredibly concise but packs a heck of a lot of heat into the timeframe; coming through with both hard-hitting slaps for the streets (“Watermelon”), barbecue-ready jams (“Lil Baby”) and reminisces on his come-up in the closing standout “Days of Our Lives.” Following in the legacy of legends like Eazy-E and DJ Quik, Perico keeps bringing the heat.

Despite the temperature outside, the Snowman is officially back in full effect! Ever since his start in the early to mid 2000s, Jeezy has not only been a pioneer for trap music but also has built an impressive catalogue of anthems for the streets and gorgeous tracks of reflection.

Big Sean is back and refocused with his eye on rap’s throne. And after the buzz that the blistering bars over his “Overtime” single created, he’s back to switch up the vibe with another new track, “Single Again.”

Don’t bother to “Fight Back,” AD & 1TakeJay’s rise to their place in the uppermost echelon of West Coast MC’s isn’t stopping anytime soon.

One of the standout tracks from AD & SorryJaynari’s ‘By The Way 2‘ project, the two Compton representatives take over a mental hospital along with several fine nurses in tow in the Adrian Per-directed visuals.
