Long Beach stand-up!

Even before his signature hit “CoCo” invaded the airwaves, O.T. Genasis has been at the forefront of the West Coast rap scene thanks to his anthems ready to slap in the whip, club, or radio. And this week, the LBC native has come correct with “When I Get It,” along with superstar Young Thug by his side.

With Thugga and O.T. combining for an effortless blend of high-pitched vocals on this one, the two bounce with ease over a minimalist soundscape with each contributing their own signature stylistic flavors.

Though Los Angeles-based producer Hitmaka was once the butt of the public’s jokes when he was known as Yung Berg years ago, the mastermind behind a litany of club-ready anthems has become one of the most established and well-respected producers in all of music. Along with 808 Mafia’s Nonstop Da Hitman he produced this banger.

With his upcoming album in the works, today finds the beatsmith dropping off “Thot Box,” a radio-ready jam featuring a star-studded guest list in A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Tyga, 2 Chainz, Meek Mill & YBN Nahmir.

Over a minimalist West Coast-tinged soundscape of a wailing synth and piano keys punctuated by crisp claps, the crew discusses their experiences with women in the past few months as they offer a response to “Hot Girl Summer” from the male perspective.
