New Video: Belly – “What You Want” Feat. The Weeknd [WATCH]

When Belly announced his new single “What You Want” with The Weeknd, you should’ve known a hit was imminent. The track has turned into the most added song on radio across the country and should get bigger with the visuals which dropped today.

Directed by Colin Tiley, the dark, psychedelic video was primarily shot at an operational penitentiary. The brXOthers get things going in a pyramid within the prison grounds before riding out in a red convertible.

“What You Want” is the third single off Belly’s forthcoming  ‘Midnight Zone’ album that will also include “4 Days” featuring YG and “Maintain” featuring Nav. Having heard the album from front-to-back, I can tell you it’s pure fire and blends both Belly’s lyrical and melodic abilities.

The Weeknd Drops A Short Film For “He Was Never There” [WATCH]

Looking to push forward his new material, The Weeknd releases a short film for his ‘My Dear Melancholy,’ single, “He Was Never There” featuring French DJ Gesaffelstein.

Abel dropped two vertical videos last month along with the new project, but this time he gets deeper with it as he gives fans a mini-documentary type of visual. The grainy clip takes viewers behind-the-scenes into The Weeknd’s studio sessions. It shows different takes, moments, conversations he has in the booth.

Throughout the video a voice narrates different parts of the video, explaining how the entire ‘My Dear Melancholy,’ EP came to fruition in “a month-and-a-half” and how it is about “cultivating” the XO star’s thoughts.

Next up for The Weeknd he will be performing at Coachella weekend 1 this weekend. There has also been rumors swirling of two more installments of the EP coming out. We will see if that turns out to be a truth or not soon.

The Weeknd Releases Surprise ‘My Dear Melancholy,’ EP [STREAM]

Without any promotion or lead single The Weeknd releases his surprise My Dear Melancholy,’ EP, putting his fans in complete pandemonium.

My Dear Melancholy,’ follows 2016’s ‘Starboy’ album and comes complete with 6-tracks and only has a feature from French DJ, Gesaffelstein. Meanwhile Gesaffelstein contributes with production as well, along with Mike WiLL Made-It, Skrillex, and Frank Dukes.

This EP is reminiscent of Abel’s older offerings like ‘Trilogy’ and ‘Kiss Land’ with dark lyrics and evocative songs like “Privilege,” “Call Out My Name,” and “Try Me.”

Travis Scott raved about The Weeknd’s album earlier this month on Twitter saying, “Abel new album is scray It’s like when I first heard him for the first time. Fuckkkkkk !!!!!” That could be a sign that we might get an album before The Weeknd takes the stage at Coachella in mid April.
