Childish Gambino Performs On “The Tonight Show” [WATCH]

Displaying his vocal chords, Childish Gambino hit “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” to perform “Redbone” off his critically-acclaimed album, ‘Awaken, My Love!’.

Wearing glittering pants and nothing else, Childish displayed his high notes as a band backed him for the performance along with shuttering laser beams.

‘Awaken, My Love!’ made a splash by debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard charts with over 100,000 units moved. It also appeared at No. 1 on the R&B charts.

Gambino has been having a major year in music and also on the big screen as his sitcom “Atlanta” has made a major impact for the FX Network. ‘Bino, real name, Donal Glover scored a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Series – Musical or Comedy” for the show “Atlanta.” The show also earned a nomination for “Best TV Series.”

New Video: Childish Gambino – Pharos Virtual Reality “Me And Your Mama” [WATCH]

Everyday technology continues to evolve and many artists are implementing that same technology into their repitoire. Childish Gambino is out here getting innovative in the video for “Me and Your Mama” off his recently released album, ‘Awaken, My Love!’.

The Fred Warren-directed video offers a PHAROS virtual reality experience, where the viewer is able to pivot their view from side-to-side and up-and-down in the 360-degree clip.

These visuals were shot at the Donald Glover PHAROS experience at Joshua Tree, California in September. The experience was created in collaboration with Microsoft and could be viewed on the PHAROS app, available on iOS and Android.

It appears this video is a tease for what’s to come on Gambino’s virtual reality vinyl version of ‘Awaken, My Love!’, dropping in 2017.

New Album: Childish Gambino – ‘Awaken, My Love!’ [STREAM]

Even with all the success of his FX show, “Atlanta,” Childish Gambino stays true to his love for music by dropping his third album ‘Awaken, My Love!’.

The 11-track album has no features and includes previously-released singles “Redbone” and “Me and Your Mama.” The sound is a mixture of R&B, Funk, Soul, Experimental and Alternative.

Gambino has announced he will be releasing a virtual reality limited vinyl edition of the album sometime in 2017. In the meantime stream ‘Awaken, My Love!’ via Apple Music by pressing play below.
