Get in “Homecoming” formation.

Beyoncé makes her way to Netflix with her “Homecoming” documentary that comes just one-year after she headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The highly-anticipated documentary “Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé” hit the streaming service today.

Scoring nearly two-and-a-half hours, the Beyoncé directed and produced film showcases an “intimate, in-depth look” at the songstress’ epic performance that paid tribute to America’s historically black colleges and universities. Containing behind-the-scenes footage, fans are treated to the “emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement.”

Prior to the documentary’s release Netflix screened “Homecoming” for students at Washington D.C.’s Howard University and Houston’s Texas Southern University, which are historically black universities. Bey also announced last year her Homecoming Scholars Award Program, an initiative that provides $25,000 scholarships to students at HBCUs.
