Belly goes from ‘Another Day In Paradise’ to being in a state of ‘InZombia’ on his new mixtape.

‘InZombia’ is his second project of the year and the follow-up to May’s ‘Another Day In Paradise’. On the 11-track mixtape, Belly collaborates with Future, Ty Dolla $ign, Ashanti, Jadakiss, Zack, and Indie Pick of the Week alum, NAV.

In addition to the features, the project also comes with production from Ben Billions, The ANMLS, Velous, Infamous, DannyBoyStyles, Daheala, and Belly himself.

The mixtape was described by reBellyious as, “collection of moments from the darkest place I’ve ever known,” hence the name ‘InZombia’.

It didn’t take Belly much time to ready his second project of the year. In May the XO-rapper released ‘Another Day In Paradise’, which will be followed by ‘InZombia’ expected to be released this Friday, November 11th.

“A lot of people see the success that you go through musically, but a lot of people don’t understand that there’s personal things that are going on too,” he told Apple Music’s Beats1 about the motivation behind the new project. “Although this was my biggest year musically, a lot of crazy personal things happened to me and I felt like I needed a whole body of work to get it out there and explain my feelings, my side of the story.”

‘InZombia’ will include contributions from Future, Ty Dolla $ign, Ashanti, Young Thug, Jadakiss, Zack, and Indie Pick alum, Nav.

Along with the new mixtape announcement, Belly dropped “Consuela” featuring Young Thug and Zack. Listen to Belly get his spanglish popping on “Consuela” below.

The Weeknd & Belly Cancel Kimmel Performance Due To Trump

Apparently YG and Nipsey Hussle aren’t the only two names in hip-hop that feel a certain way about Donald Trump. The Weeknd and Belly recently canceled their scheduled performance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ because they didn’t want to be associated with the Republican delegate according to The Associated Press.

Both XO artists were in LA last night to record their performance for the song “Might Not” before learning Trump was going to be on the same episode causing them to pull out. Read Belly’s statement below:

“I feel like the way I was raised was to be able to see through all the titles in this world — from religion to race,” Belly said in a statement. “I just didn’t want to feel like I was a part of a celebration for somebody who has beliefs that majority of us don’t agree with.”

“I’m here on a campaign of positivity and love and to contribute what I can to music,” Belly continued. “I create songs people go to sleep and wake up to, songs that they fall in love to. For me, being Muslim and being somebody that appreciates my access here in America, I love the fact that I’m able to be here. To play my part in this business is a privilege and a beautiful thing. The fact that I could lose that ability through the actions of someone such as Donald Trump isn’t right to me. At all.”

Belly is currently making runs to promote his upcoming project, ‘Another Day in Paradise’ dropping May 27th.

Jay Z Signs Belly To Roc Nation (News)

Today Roc Nation announced that they have signed XO’s very own Belly!

Belly is set to release his first studio album under the Roc in 2016.

Born in Palestine and raised in Canada’s capital city of Ottawa, Belly made a name for himself in the mid-aughts, collaborating with artists like Snoop Dogg, Scarface, Fabolous, and more. After taking an extended break from music following 2007’s The Revolution LP, the rapper formed a tight friendship with The Weeknd, launching their XO imprint.
