New Music: Yella Beezy – “Keep It In The Streets” [LISTEN]

Yella Beezy drops a video along with his new single, “Keep It in the Streets.”

Directed by David H. Nguyen, the black-and-white visuals showcase the neighborhood of Oak Cliff, which just so happens to be the Dallas, Texas native’s old stomping grounds.

The song is about the street life, and acknowledges the unspoken rule to follow the codes of the streets or face the consequences. Snitches get stitches, and Yella Beezy’s bars reflect that exact sentiment.

“We can go back and forth with this sh*t, you know? You know… just don’t run to the law. Don’t run to no police, don’t get no man involved, know what I’m saying? Lot of n*ggaz be talking that gang sh*t, be talking ‘bout what they gon’ do, what they about. Soon as something happenin’, you know what I’m saying? They runnin’ and tellin’, you know? Just keep it all the way straight. Keep it in the streets, you know what I’m sayin’?”
