Lauryn Hill Adds “Spice” To Drake’s “Nice For What” [WATCH]

After Drake sampled Lauryn Hill’s classic “Ex-Factor” on his most recent chart-topping single “Nice For What,” L Boogie put her twist on the track by adding some “spice” during her tour stop at New York’s Apollo Theater.

With her band reworking the intrumental behind her, Ms. Lauryn called herself “the original,” before rapping, “See this is ‘Ex-Factor,’ he took the sample / My shit is classic, here’s an example / Of how we nice’d it up on this rhythm / So many wanna spice it up on this rhythm.”

“Ex-Factor” appeared on Lauryn Hill’s 1998 ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ album. Drake’s “Nice For What” is expected to land on his forthcoming ‘Scorpion’ album, which is set to be released in June.
