A few weeks ago I got an invite to check out Khary’s new project ‘Captain’. Upon walking into the Stem Headquarters I noticed everyone in attendance was in awe and holding on to every word, so I took a seat and did the same.
The lyricism mixed with intense production made for some solid tunes. The 12-track album is loaded with sonically-appeasing production from producers like Dilip, Cloud Atrium, Lege Kale, Calev, Tedd Boyd, and more. The only two features on the album come from Olu Bliss and Cloud Atrium.
Although I’m digging this album, I will say it hurt my feelings when he said “boring ass n***a named brian” on “Jolly Roger,” which is one of my favorite tracks on the album.
