Travis Scott’s “goosebumps” is probably the hottest track off his last album, ‘Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight’ and is his second highest career single. Super-producer Mike Dean is looking to make it just a bit hotter by releasing a remix of his own. The remix still features Kendrick Lamar, but tweaks the original instrumental by adding a few more synths, tonal shifts, and some additional keys.

It looks like it’s officially ‘SremmLife 3’ season with Rae Sremmurd boys dropping their new single “Perplexing Pegasus.” Produced by their mentor, Mike WiLL-Made It, the track includes that catchy trademark Swae Lee hook. Slim Jxmmi chips in with raps about money, cars, and “bitches.”
“Perplexing Pegasus” is the first single off the upcoming ‘SremmLife 3’ album, which is part of the ‘SremmLife’ series. The Black Beatles are expected to drop the album later this year. Slim Jxmmi has also announced he will be dropping a solo project, but was adamant about the group staying together.

A$AP Ferg shows love to every side and summons an all-star cast on the remix of “East Coast.” The original featured only Remy Ma, but on the remix, Ferg grabs fellow New Yorkers Busta Rhymes, Dave East, A$AP Rocky, and French Montana. Snoop Dogg hops on as well and puts on for the West Coast, while Rick Ross reps Miami.
This remix serves as a warm up to next week, as Ferg will be delivering his ‘Still Striving’ project on Friday, August 11th. ‘Still Striving’ is the follow-up to last year’s ‘Always Strive and Prosper’ and part of A$AP Mob’s AWGEST takeover.

Gearing up for the release of his fifth studio album, ‘The Beautiful & Damned’, G-Eazy unleashes an EPs worth of new singles.
On two of the four singles being “Nothing Wrong” and “Just Friends,” G handles the vocals with no help for the most part. “Nothing Wrong” is a braggadocios track, where he also talks about his alleged relationship with Lana Del Rey. Phem has a feature on “Just Friends,” where G spits about an old lover and makes it clear they’re no more than friends.
Elsewhere on “Get A Bag” featuring Jadakiss, the duo sticks to lyricism and go back-and-forth with solid punchlines and notable bars. The last single “Wave” featuring fellow Bay Area rapper, Rexx Life Raj, is a ballad about reflection, counting blessings, and positivity.
It’s not known whether any of these singles will land on the album, but you can vibe out to all four tracks below. His upcoming album, The Beautiful & Damned’ is expected to be released soon. Stay tuned.

Last month was filled with so many good releases, that I haven’t even been able to listen to every project from front-to-back yet. This month is shaping up to no different with the summer dwindling down and a few artists already lining up their new project releases.
Leading things off this month will be A$AP Twelvy and Ugly God, whom will both be releasing their debut albums this Friday, August 4th. Rounding out the rest of the month will be A$AP Mob, A$AP Ferg, Dave East, Action Bronson, Too $hort, Dizzy Wright, XXXtentaction, Mozzy, the late Sean Price, Phora, and of course you can expect more projects to be released as the month rolls on.

A$AP TWELVVY – ’12’ (8/4)
In the past recent years we’ve seen the A$AP Mob collective thrive in the music scene. Next up to get some shine and prosper is A$AP Twelvvy. The New York rapper will be dropping his debut album ’12’ this coming Friday, August 4th.
UGLY GOD – ‘THE BOOTY TAPE’ (8/4)
A$AP Twelvvy won’t be the only artist dropping his debut album this Friday. Texas rapper, Ugly God will also drop his freshman album, lead by the singles “Water” and “No Lies” Feat. Wiz Khalifa. After several delays Ugly God will finally drop his debut. *THANKS UGLY GOD*
SEAN PRICE – ‘IMPERIUS REX’ (8/8)
It’s good to see that we’ll be getting a posthumous album from the late, great Sean Price on August 8th. ‘Imperius Rex’ will include features from DOOM, Prodigy, Styles P, Smif N Wessun, Rock, Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, Junior Reid, Buckshot, Ruste Juxx, Bernadette Price and more. Production will be handled by Alchemist, Harry Fraud, Nottz, and a couple others.
MONEYBAGG YO – ‘FEDERAL 3X’ (8/11)
Moneybagg Yo is the next rapper up out of the south. Signed to Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint, he’s got a lot of exposure and he’s ready to use it to his advantage by dropping a new project. Friday, August 11th he’ll drop his new project ‘Federal 3x’ with features from Yo Gotti, Fabolous, and more.
DIZZY WRIGHT – ‘THE GOLDEN AGE 2’ (8/11)
Dizzy Wright will be dropping the second installment of his ‘The Golden Age 2’ series on Friday, August 11th. Loaded with 18-tracks and features from Big Krit, G Perico, and others, Dizzy is ready to display his lyricism.
DAVE EAST – ‘PARANOIA’ (8/18)
Originally supposed to drop August 25th, Dave East shared on Instagram a photo saying “August 18th” and a caption that read, “Stop Asking Me…” Although he hasn’t shared the cover art or track listing, it’s expected his recently-released single, “Perfect” featuring Chris Brown to be on the album.
A$AP FERG – ‘STILL STRIVING’ (8/18)
A$AP Ferg said he was turning August into AWEGEST (as in his record label) by releasing three new A$AP projects. A$AP Ferg is one along with Twelvvy and the collaborative mob project. On Friday, August 18th, Ferg will deliver, ‘Still Striving’, the follow-up to ‘Always Strive and Prosper’.
MOZZY – ‘1 Up Top Ahk’ (8/18)
Sacramento’s Mozzy has been putting in a lot of work for the West Coast rap scene. The rapper will drop his long-awaited ‘1 Up Top Ahk’ on Friday, August 18th. Features include Dave East, The Jacka, Lil Durk, Boosie Badass, YFN Lucci, Rexx Life Raj, and many more.
FASHAWN – ‘MANNA’ (8/18)
It’s been two years since Fashawn dropped a project, but that’s all changing on August 18th, as he will drop his third album, ‘MANNA’.
A$AP MOB – ‘COZY TAPES, VOL. 2’ (8/25)
Still doing it for Yams, the A$AP Mob collective will close out the month with their follow up to last year’s ‘Cozy Tapes, Vol. 1: Friends’. ‘Cozy Tapes, Vol. 2’ will include the standout single “RAF” featuring A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, Frank Ocean, Lil Uzi Vert, and Quavo.
ACTION BRONSON – ‘BLUE CHIPS 7000’ (8/25)
After making several promise, Action Bronson Action Bronson will finally drop his forthcoming project, ‘Blue Chips 7000’ on August 25th. This project release has dragged and was supposed to be released in June.
TOO $HORT – ‘THE PIMP TAPE’ (8/25)
People will go dumb in The Town on August 25th when Too $hort releases his 17th (no typo) studio album ‘The Pimp Tape’. The album is led by “Ain’t My Girlfriend” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, and French Montana. Other features include 2 Chainz, E-40, Snoop Dogg, Mistah F.A.B., and others.
XXXTENTACTION – ’17’ (8/25)
Florida rapper, XXXtentaction has been on a weird streak. He said he was stepping away from rap and people wouldn’t hear from him and then announced the release of his debut album ’17’. He’s no Adele with the numerical album title, but his album is highly-anticipated by his fans.

Back in August of 2016 Tory Lanez dropped his debut album, ‘I Told You’. Since then the Toronto rapper has dropped a bevy music from mixtapes to singles. Fans have still been eagerly awaiting his sophomore album and Tory announced this morning it was officially complete.
Using Twitter as the bearer of good news, Lanez revealed his next album was finished and he is only waiting on clearance to be able to give fans what they’ve been waiting for.

Back in June Tory assured fans he was “90-percent” done with the album and it appears he wasn’t kidding. He’s also previously mentioned that the music on the upcoming album will be all original. We have yet to get a title, but we can certainly expect it in the coming weeks.
His freshman album, ‘I Told You’ debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s 200 chart. Standout singles on the album were “Say It” and Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat’s co-produced “Luv,” which charted as high as No. 19 on the Hot 100.

Channel 4 in the United Kingdom finally debuted the highly-anticipated “Public Enemies: Jay-Z Vs. Kanye West” documentary, which highlights the relationship between Hov and Ye. With commentary from people close to both rappers, it shows the falling out of the one-time frequent collaborators and their ups and downs.
Including “unseen footage and unheard testimonies” the documentary digs deep into the friends-turned-foes and chronicled rivalry. If you recall things began to go sour when Ye attacked Hov at a “Saint Pablo Tour” stop saying, “Jay-Z, call me, you still ain’t called me. Jay-Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head. Please call me. Talk to me like a man.”
Ye also went on to criticize Beyoncé at a show after he lost Video of the Year at the VMAs, by alleging Bey was playing politics with MTV saying, “Out of respect, MTV told me, ‘Mr. West, out of respect to you, I will let you know that Beyoncé is winning the V.M.A. tonight for “Formation” over “Hotline Bling” and “Famous.”
In the documentary a conversation is brought up that Jay only signed Kanye to use him for his beats, but never actually intended to allow him to release a full album as a rapper. Jay allegedly tried to stop Ye from dropping “Through the Wire” and only fully supported after the success of the record.
On Jay’s ‘4:44’ album he comes for Kanye on the single, “Kill Jay Z,” where he raps, “You got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye / You gave him 20 million without blinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin’?”

Macklemore was reportedly involved in a head-on collision with a drunk driver earlier this week. In the Jason Koenig & Ben Haggerty co-directed video for his recent single, “Marmalade,” he ironically drives around as a kid with his collaborator, Lil Yachty.
Putting on for Seattle, the kid version of Mac is shown rocking a Supersonics jacket as he alternates driving with the kid version of Yachty, after stealing his father’s keys and cash. The two ride along with other friends, on a mission to steal Tom Brady’s jersey, which they intend to trade to Marshawn Lynch for games in a giant pool.

While we continue for ‘Tha Carter V’ to be freed, we continue to get old, unreleased songs from Lil Wayne. A few weeks ago we got “Dinnertime” from ‘Tha Carter III’ days and we’ve also got Wayne’s collaborative ‘T-Wayne’ project with T-Pain. Now we get a leaked single from the vault called “Like A Man.”
It’s unclear when this song was created, but if I had to take a guess I would say between 2013 to 2015. On it Tunechi delivers bars with a hyperactive flow over the bouncy ONHEL-produced track. ONHEL also produced “Dinnertime.”
“Like a man, like a gangster, like a real one / These pussies get the dildo, I get the deal done / Like a man, I hate a bitch with a lil’ tongue / And all this old money make me feel young,” raps Tunechi.

Joined by Uganda’s Triplets Ghetto Kids, French Montana and Swae performed their smash-hit “Unforgettable” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” As the Ugandan kids showed off their viral dancing skills, French and Swae breezed through their high-charting single.
“Unforgettable” is featured on French Montana’s recently-released ‘Jungle Rules’, which has been anchored by the single and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. After the performance Swae Lee called the single, “the hottest song in the world.”
Earlier this week Latin star J Balvin released the “Latin Remix” of “Unforgettable,” which is currently peaking at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Listen to the remix here.

One of the hottest songs on The Weeknd’s critically-acclaimed ‘Starboy’ album is “Reminder.” Abel makes the track even hotter by releasing an official remix, where he joins forces with Young Thug and A$AP Rocky.
Thugger leads off on the remix with a heavily auto-tuned braggadocio verse. The Weeknd follows up with his original melodic verse and chorus. A$AP Rocky rounds up the song with raps about staying low key, being humble, and solid.
In the video for the original version of “Reminder” Young Thug and A$AP Rocky appear along with Drake, Travis Scott, and other peers. The video is nominated for five MTV Video Music Awards being Best Art Direction, Best Direction, Best Editing, Artist of the Year, and Video of the year.
“Reminder” currently sits at No. 90 on the Billboard Hot 100, while ‘Starboy’ is No. 21 on the Billboard 200.
