I’m a fan of Wiz and Curren$y especially when they happen to be on the same song. Listen to the two MCs share their experience of ‘moving on up.’ Purchase Wiz Khalifa’s Rolling Papers on March 29th.

I already posted some footage from the Billboard SXSW showcase but I figured a mini-compilation of performance footage of the Mississippi rapper wouldn’t hurt especially since he was one of the greater acts there. Check out the performance footage from SXSW including the last video which features Curren$y. Oh yeah, Return of 4eva comes out tomorrow.
Props to Young Sav & Steve-O, UE, IRC for the footage!

Looks like Freddie Gibbs and D-Edge found the perfect city to make a video in.
Long Term Mentality due April 5th.
I still remember the very first time I heard Self Scientific. I was listening to a Baka Boyz Mixtape which featured DJ C-Minus and he played “Return”. I was blown away! So glad to see these dudes putting out new material again, I feel like they only put out a song a year as a group, but it’s DEFINITELY worth it. Be on the look out for their new album, “Trials of Blackhearted” to be released next week!

Watch the three as they attempt to hot box a tour bus above. The Maybach Music Group compilation, Self Made, is due May 24th.

Pusha T released his mixtape right on time. With minimal features from Rick Ross, 50 Cent, Kanye West and Kevin Cossom, the G.O.O.D Music signee liberates his solo project over original production. Have you heard “Feelin Myself” yet? Kevin Cossom’s smooth voice on the hook over Tha Bizness instrumentals is a win, Push. Feel free to listen to the mixtape as I get that link for you!

Can you imagine how hard it is for an artist to pick his favorite verse? Ok, maybe not for everyone. Soul Culture caught up with Kendrick Lamar in Austin (SXSW) and asked him what his favorite verse is. His response? “The Heart Pt. 2.”

I wish I was there with my flipcam and canon! Yeah, I take two cameras with me when I go to shows. This is just another video which makes me say “I wish I was there.” Classic.

Sampled with Nate Dogg‘s iconic “Hold Up!” phrase from Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode, The Game pays tribute to the G-Funk West Coast legend. Rest in peace.

I heard Big K.R.I.T. gave a great performance with his live band, Grillade, during this showcase from a few different sources but it will get overshadowed by Odd Future’s “Fuck Billboard” stunt. Don’t forget, K.R.I.T.’s Return Of 4Eva drops March 22nd.
Back to the Odd Future stunt. Tyler, The Creator really dissed the publication of the cover he was just on and stormed off stage.
Tyler said, “Here’s the song you guys all came out to see anyway.” He did “Yonkers.” He then said “You know what, fuck this. Fuck Billboard. I don’t even read that shit. Come see us at Vice” and then ran off the stage. Hodgy Beats and Domo Genesis followed. Left Brain jacked off his mic towards the audience. Syd argued with the soundman. Their people came out and grabbed their stuff and the group bounced. People at the front shout “Wolf Gang.” It was bonkers. And it was over. – prefix mag
I need to see them live. Check out the rest of the performance after the jump, including the video of Odd Future storming off the stage.

I’m still catching up on the 2011 SXSW footage since I didn’t go this year. Sad face. Anyways, Diddy apparently crashed the Fader Fort stage to introduce Lil B. Swag.
