J. Cole & Meek Mill To Perform At NBA All Star Game [PEEP]

NBA All-Star weekend has always been big in the culture and it appears this year will be no different as J. Cole and Meek Mill are in the fold to headline the halftime show in Charlotte, North Carolina on February 17th.

Meek will open the game with a performance of his ‘Championships’ album standouts, while J. Cole, a native of North Carolina will perform a medley of his hits at halftime. Charlotte’s own Anthony Hamilton will also sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” before tip-off.

New Music: Wale – “All Star Break Up” [LISTEN]

Blending both NBA All-Star week and Valentine’s Day, Wale uses his new single “All Star Break Up” to give us a take on both events, as he gets his Omar Epps on with rhymes about love and basketball.

Led by acoustic guitar strings, Wale goes to his poetic self as he serenades about a woman, who is a known heartthrob and breaks up with her boyfriend right before NBA All-Star week with hopes of bedding a baller in Los Angeles.

“You ever lost your main jawn to a point guard or a small forward?” poses Wale. “I don’t believe in Valentine’s. I find it funny. Cupid’s busiest day is four days before the All-Star [game].”
