Hit-Boy Remembers Nipsey Hussle, Talks Creation Of “Racks In The Middle” & More [WATCH]

Hit-Boy was the producer who produced Nipsey Hussle’s last release before his tragic death. He stopped by the Power 106 #LIFTOFF to discuss the creation of “Racks In The Middle,” what Nipsey Hussle meant to him, the studio sessions with Nip, his new collaborative project with SOBxRBE and more.

After a couple of years without working Nipsey Hussle, the two united for a studio session for Hit-Boy’s first compilation album soon to come. Hit-Boy says Nip loved “Racks In The Middle” so much that he asked to take for his own single. The two began working on the track to which Hit-Boy says was an emotional process where the both cried before the song released.

“I shed a tear for Racks In the Middle when Nip was still here.”

Hit-Boy has had a colorful career producing for others like Drake, JAY-Z, Kanye West, Beyoncé, and many more.

New Video: Nipsey Hussle – “Racks In The Middle” Feat. Roddy Ricch & Hit-Boy [WATCH]

The Marathon continues, as the Grammy-nominated rapper and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle releases his new video for “Racks in the Middle” featuring fellow L.A. folks Roddy Ricch and Hit-Boy.

From the start of 2019 a lot has happened for the Crenshaw veteran ranging from GQ photo shoots, Grammy nominations, and closing escrow on commercial real estate. None of that has stopped Neighbahood Nip from his original “hussle,” music.

In the video we see Nipsey Hussle and Compton youngin’ Roddy Ricch live lavishly as they show off a fleet of foreign cars. Also, featured in the video is Nipsey’s grandmother decked out in Puma gear as they occupy a private jet that is sponsored by the Puma brand. It is safe to say that Nipsey has truly earned his bragging rights to show off his “Racks in the Middle.”

Just one day ago Kehlani released her new Hit-Boy-produced single “Nunya” featuring the homie Dom Kennedy. Working rapidly, the songstress shares the visuals for the single, which finds the trio in the snowy mountains of Big Bear, rocking ski gear and rocking at a house party.

“Nunya” will be on Lani’s upcoming project ‘While We Wait’ which drops this Friday.

Nipsey Hussle wastes no time releasing new music as he links up with Roddy Ricch & Hit-Boy for “Racks In The Middle.” The singles was originally announced following last week’s GRAMMYs and it may be the first single off his upcoming sophomore album.

On the track Hussle man speaks on his life, his friends, family, and reflects on big moments like taking his grandma on a private jet to Las Vegas. Roddy Ricch handles the fire hook while Hit-Boy comes through with the production.

Hit-Boy Drops Surprise Album ‘Tony Fontana’ [STREAM]

To celebrate his 31st birthday rapper/producer Hit-Boy surprised his fans with the release of his ‘Tony Fontana’. Hit teased the album when he dropped the visuals for “Clocked In” with Rich The Kid, letting it be known the album would be out at midnight.

In November of last year Hit teamed up with frequent collaborator Dom Kennedy for their ‘Courtesy of Half-A-Mil’ collaborative album, which included a single titled “Tony Fontana.” Since then he has promised “new music all summer” and it’s looking like he is staying true to his word.

On his 10-track ‘Tony Fontana’ album, Hit connects with Dom Kennedy for “Out the Window,” Rich The Kid on “Clocked In,” 24hrs on “Closest Friends,” and 03 Greedo and Yung Pinch on “Vroom.” The album also includes “Tony Fontana, Pt. II.”

Dom Kennedy & Hit-Boy Share “Half-A-Mil Presents” Documentary [WATCH]

Just yesterday the LA duo comprised of Dom Kennedy and Hit-Boy, known as Half-A-Mil released their surprise formal debut album, ‘Courtesy of Half-A-Mil’. Today the heavyweights strike back with their “Half-A-Mil Presents” documentary.

The 17-and-a-half minute official documentary shows the process that Dom and Hit-Boy went through to create their debut album. In the documentary you see both artists in the studio working, as friends pop-in on them. Different city sightings of LA are also shown.

Half-A-Mil Look To Motivate With Surprise ‘Courtesy Of Half-A-Mil’ Album [STREAM]

Always a good day in Los Angeles when Dom Kennedy and Hit-Boy, also known as Half-A-Mil drop some new music. The LA duo makes the city happy with the release their surprise first official album, ‘Courtesy of Half-A-Mil’.

The 14-track project follows three mixtape installments dating back to last November when the deadly duo formed. ‘Courtesy of Half-A-Mil’ includes features from Ty Dolla $ign, Jay 305, Larry June, B. Carr, and  TYuS.

In an Instagram post Dom Kennedy explained that this project is “Not for the unambitious or faint of heart.” On the album’s track list a messgae reads, “MORE MOTIVATIONAL THAN ANYTHING!”

Comprised of Dom Kennedy and Hit-Boy, the group known as Half-A-Mil have had major success. Following the release of their ‘EP3’ a couple weeks ago, Dom and Hit are back with the visuals for “In the Hills / Might As Well.”

In the visuals, the Half-A-Mil boys take viewers into their lavish lifestyle, which begins with a party in a massive mansion for “In the Hills.” From there they turn to the afterparty for the “Might As Well” part, which includes a plethora of beautiful women.
