Opening up about personal issues and lashing out against name-sayers, while tackling social issues is what Vic Mensa does on his highly-anticipated album, ‘The Autobiography’.

As the new breed of Roc-A-Fella (Now Roc Nation), Vic Mensa delivers his 15-track debut album with tantalizing songs and a punch-packing list of collaborators consisting of Pharrell, Pusha-T, Weezer, Ty Dolla $ign, The-Dream, and Saul Williams.

“This album is really my blood, sweat, and tears, and everything that I’ve learned up to this point in life,” explained Vic about the album. “I kinda had to go through a lot of different things to even be able to put this album down on wax.”

Executive produced by the combination of No I.D. and Jay-Z, Vic revealed that Hov, who called the Chicago rapper “a once in a lifetime artists,” also helped pick every single on the album.

“He was instrumental in helping me pick the records that were going to make it and some of the lyrical content,” he explained, “and just helping me to mold the shape of the story to make sure that it pushes along and that it takes you on a journey.”
