J. Cole Performs At Big Boy’s Backstage Breakfast (Video)

J. Cole and his fans took over Universal Studios Hollywood for Power 106’s “Big Boy’s Backstage Breakfast” earlier today and Cole performed a couple of his hits (recent and old). He also gave an interview where he talked about the new album (coming out next week), his past crush on Alicia Keys, his first job and more.

Kanye West Shares “I Am A God” Studio Footage with Rick Rubin & Mike Dean (Video)

Boom.

With Yeezus being the talk of the innanets, Kanye West took to the popular social media platform to tweet out his link that directs to his official page. Once you arrive at the page, you’ll see the video (posted above) that shows exclusive footage of Yeezy making a new record titled “I Am A God,” along with music executive Rick Rubin and producer Mike Dean.

Oh, and if you think this is the official tracklist…

CLOSE. According to SPIN, a Def Jam rep said the track list is “close,” but wouldn’t elaborate on what was missing or incorrect.

I hope it’s kept under wraps until July 18 at 12AM or July 17 at 9PM Pacific Time (for us).

Pusha T Speaks On “The Wire,” ‘My Name Is My Name’ & More (Video)

Pyrex meets the Pusha. I recently connected with Pusha T at the Mezzanine during his stop on his Life Is So Exciting Tour in San Francisco with Fabolous. King Push elaborated on the necessity to parallel his forth coming highly anticipated G.O.O.D Music release, My Name Is My Name, with the legendary HBO fan favorite, The Wire. He also shares his thought process behind his anthem “Numbers on the Board”, and breaks down the science behind his No Malice assisted project, As God As My Witness.

J. Cole – Born Sinner (Album Stream)

Born Sinner

In 2013, if people really care about your music then your album will see the premature light. Artists should be taking it as a compliment. I know it sucks especially after all the hard work that is put into a musical opus. Roc Nation’s J. Cole is no exception.

After a leaked tracklist, live sit-down interview, worldwide listening session, and a in-person listening session in NYC, Born Sinner leaked.

Instead of getting upset, the Fayetteville native uploaded his album on his official page and released it for the world to listen from the comfort of their own home.

Sweet.

No, you don’t have to find the coordinates to listen but I would suggest grabbing your favorite pair of headphones. In case you’ve forgotten, the album features Miguel, Kendrick Lamar, TLC, Fauntleroy and more. Just from listening to the first track, I’m already loving the feel of the album. Listening as I type.

Disclaimer: I’m a big J. Cole fan but I wasn’t that excited for Born Sinner after hearing his debut album. But that’s a whole other story.

Hit-Boy – Jay-Z Interview Pt. II (Video)

It was a year ago that producer Hit-Boy showed us his lyrical side on “Jay-Z Interview.” Today, he release the audio, accompanied by a visual, for part two of the Hov-approved track. The new single is produced by Hit and “U.O.E.N.O.” producer Childish Major and as for the video, it follows the same formula as the first, showcasing Hit’s greatest moments as of late.
