Machine Gun Kelly was hyped that the Cavs beat the Heat and who wouldn’t be? In the words of MGK, “F*ck Lebron…The Kid Never Left Y’all.” Props to Lowkey.
I’m a sucker for samples and this track has a pretty dope one, “Dear Diary” by The Moody Blues. The flute, the sample and Odd Future member Hodgy Beats rapping about how he’s better than you. Approved.
Skeme, who will also be performing at Paid Dues on Saturday, sat down with Swaggatory.com and touched on his upcoming mixtape, The Statement, 2011 XXL Freshman and upcoming projects.
I spent the last few days watching Theophilus‘ older music videos. I’m glad he has a new one I cant watch now. Check out his latest visuals for “Why Even Try” featuring Sara Quin from the indie rock duo Tegan and Sara.
XV appropriately posted this picture along with his latest leak, “Foreign Exchange Student.” Props to The Awesome Sound for the synth solo at the 2:45 minute mark. Nice!
Mac Miller has blessed us with free projects so feel free to drop 5 bucks to cop his latest EP. I can’t remember where I’ve heard the strings on “Live Free” before. It’s killing me!

I’ve never heard of a rapper from New Zealand but Duck Down Records’ David Dallas is representing them well. Check out the visuals for “Caught In A Daze” featuring Freddie Gibbs. Cruisin’ music for sure.

California’s own Noa James is performing at Paid Dues and he made a video so that you won’t forget what time he’ll be on stage. 12:25pm. Don’t forget Paid Dues is on Saturday! I won’t be attending this year but the line up is pretty nice!
In this episode, take a trip with Maestro to the world famous Record Plant studios in Hollywood where Hit-Boy works on some new tracks & mixes down “Gone” for Jennifer Hudson. Shayan Afshar drops by as he & Maestro present Hit-Boy with their new Hennessy Privilege collaboration “Infinity Piece”. Additionally Hit-Boy breaks down his “Love Notes” track off the last EP & speaks about a possible Part 2.
That Infinity Piece is fly!
All G.O.O.D. things come to those who wait. According to Rap-Up, Big Sean‘s debut album, Finally Famous, has been pushed back to June 21st. Don’t fret boys and girls, it’s only a month and a few weeks more than the original May 3rd date.
If it makes you feel a little better, Big Sean revealed a some facts about his Kanye West collaboration, “It’s kind of like super special. It’s something people are going to be able to party to and has a great message at the same time. It’s just me and him going at it. Pause. I’m really excited about it. I can’t wait for the public to hear it.”
I do it.
Not the first video off of Gift Raps and definitely not the last. “We’re not done yet, more videos in the works. We in this hoe.” –illRoots
