Audio: Busta Rhymes ft. Notorious B.I.G. – I Knock You Out

I’m just going to quote Meka.

Busta uses Big’s “All Men Are Dogs” vocals, then interpolates his “B.I.G. Interlude” bars (which itself was of Schooly D’s “P.S.K. What Does It Mean?“) for his own verse.

Knowledge.

Audio: Gerald Walker – We Don’t Give A F*ck (Prod. By Cardo & Sledgren)

I’m not gonna front like I’ve heard Gerald Walker‘s music before hearing this track but I’m really liking what I heard. *Singing in my best Gerald Walker voice* “No baby, we don’t give a f****ck.”

Props to AO for introducing me to him.

Audio: Fuego ft. Ty$ & Lyssi – Get No Better

Producer Fuego enlists Ty$ and Lyssi for his latest radio single “Get No Better.” Get your right hand pointer finger up in the air and slowly wave it from left to right.

Audio: Lupe Fiasco ft. Hayley Williams – Airplanes (Unreleased)

I knew there was a “Airplanes” track floating out there with Lupe Fiasco on it. I prefer B.o.B on this song but probably because I heard him on it first.

Video: Karmaloop TV – Dom Kennedy Interview

While in NYC, Dom Kennedy (hey, that rhymes) stopped by the Karmaloop offices to talk about his latest project, The Original Dom Kennedy, and why he decided to have different artworks for each single on the tape. Shout out to Jovan from PHRE$HCRU for designing each all the artwork.

Audio: THURZ – Los Angeles

I’m very impressed with everything I’ve been hearing from Thurz‘ upcoming solo project, LA RIOT. From the “Rodney King” visual to instructions on how to wheatpaste, every product I’ve seen so far has been detailed and well thought out. Being from Los Angeles (or at least living in the outskirts), I had to ask myself the question “what does LA mean to me?” My answer: Los Angeles is opportunity, good weather, bad traffic and art. Traffic makes me cry. :|

Thurz also included a package that includes the dirty AND clean version of “Los Angeles” along with instructions on how to wheatpaste. Wheatpasting is the art of pasting posters on walls and yeah, you see a lot of that in the city of LA. I’m gonna try it out.

Audio: Mac Miller ft. Wale – So What (Prod. By Don Cannon)

Wale and Mac Miller collaborate on a new track called “So What,” produced by Don Cannon (as if you already didn’t know that from the headline). I just checked my iTunes and I believe that this is their first collab. I’ll check on that while you download the song.
