You know… I went to UCR for two years and never attended a Spring Splash concert. I’m bad. Anyways, forget about me, Phil Mao attended UCR’s Spring Splash concert that took place in Riverside, California on May 4th and captured some great stills from the live show. The hip-hop acts included Ab-Soul, Rick Ross and 2 Chainz.

Alexander Spit – Mansions 2 (Video Teaser)
Alexander Spit released a short clip of his 16-minute music video for Mansions 2.
Directed by David Gallardo, the full video features classic anime mashed up to create the story of a guardian reliving his past and a hired gunman questioning the morals of his job – told through the sounds of Spit’s upcoming instrumental project, Mansions 2.
Full clip premieres next week.

Apparently, Common was originally supposed to be featured on the original “Victorious” that was included in her 2012 album, All Of Me. Not sure why the Common never made it on the single but it’s here now and we’re not complaining. Listen to the No I.D.-produced single below.

Emilio Rojas – Did It Again (Audio)
As fans patiently wait for No Shame, No Regrets, Emilio Rojas shares “Did It Again,” a new track produced by DJ Green Lantern. The single will not have a spot on Rojas’ upcoming project but it’s a smooth listen while we continue to wait.
Mikky Ekko – Disappear (Audio)
You may remember him from his feature on Rihanna’s “Stay” but Mikky Ekko, signed to RCA Records, holds a strong presence when he flies solo. Today, the Louisiana-born crooner released a rough draft of a new dreamy-sounding track titled “Disappear.” Let’s hope he does the opposite and continues feeding us with more sounds.
Statik Selektah ft. Sean Price & Mac Miller – 21 & Over (Audio)

Statik Selektah kicked off his Extended Play promo with a solid single (TRUST ME ON THIS ONE) titled “Bird’s Eye View” and followed it up with another second strong leak, “21 & Over.” The single is available for purchase on iTunes before the album, Extended Play, hits stores on June 18th.

2013 BET Awards Nominations – Revealed (News)
I can’t believe another year has flown by which means that the BET Awards will soon be back in town and taking place at the Nokia Theater at L.A. Live on June 30.
This year, Drake leads the pack with 12 nominations, including 5 nominations in the Video of the Year category. Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz come in with eight nominations while A$AP Rocky grabs five. Check out the entire list of nominees. which were announced earlier today, after the jump.
