New Music: Buddy – “Black 2” [LISTEN]

Buddy just dropped a new introspective track called “Black 2,” which is a sequel from his song called “Black” that featured A$AP Ferg.

The sequel track shows the Compton rapper’s undying and continuing
love for his people. Furthermore, he directly called out the systemic appropriation of America and how major businesses profit off of black culture but lacks acknowledgment of its importance to arts and the culture itself.

New Music: Pop Smoke – “Make It Rain” Feat. Rowdy Rebel [LISTEN]

Legends Never Die is a mantra that we embrace when one of our beloved ones pass. We adopt this mantra out of respect for their memory, today Pop Smoke’s legacy lives on as his posthumous single “Make It Rain” was released.

The record arrives on what would have been the original release date for Pop Smoke’s debut album. The date was pushed back after the late rapper’s manager Steven Victor announced that the album had been pushed back until July 3rd, out of respect for the current uprising and civil unrest.

New Video: YG – “FTP” [WATCH]

As the protests continue with a mission to defund the police and get social justice for the lives lost of black people, YG has established himself as one of the most effective rappers to make protest music.

In 2016, YG and the late, great Nipsey Hussle made a tremendous statement with their exceptional 2016 single “FDT (Fuck Donald Trump)”. Since then, we have acquired many reasons to express our disappointment and YG has not been one to keep quiet about that.

Today, he dropped the visuals for his latest single “FTP (Fuck The Police),” which includes real-time footage of a historic moment in which he was able to help gather 100,000 people to march in this fight against the unjust laws and practices of this country last weekend in Hollywood, along with Black Lives Matter L.A.

New Music: Lil Baby – “The Bigger Picture” [LISTEN]

We are now coming to a time and place where Lil Baby can do no wrong. It’s almost as if everything he touches is a hit, KINDA how Oprah used to be.

On his new powerful song “The Bigger Picture,” he spits over the intense hard-hitting beat and you can feel that each word is authentic as he is. Lil Baby uses his platform to speak on the systemic oppression and uses his bars to talk about the importance of voting.

Lil Baby opens the song with clips from news broadcasts mixed with protestors chanting “I can’t breathe,” which as we know were the late George Floyd’s last word. The track continues as Baby shares his opinion on law enforcement.

New Video: G-Eazy – “Love Is Gone” Feat. Feat. Drew Love & Jahmed [WATCH]

In perfect timing, G-Eazy has released a visual for a new version of his 2017 song “Love Is Gone” from his album ‘The Beautiful & Damned‘.

The latest version of the track includes a verse from young California rapper Jahmed and also features Drew Love, as the original did.

G-Eazy found the perfect time to release visuals for this record as his powerful visual displays footage from protesters all across the country, and images of racism and police brutality.

Ironically it’s almost as if the record will have more of an impact today as systemic racism has been brought to the attention of the mainstream media.

NEW LEAK: Cypress Moreno – “Do What I Do” Feat. Rucci & Bravo The Bagchaser [PREMIERE]

My dawg Cypress Moreno sent me this record a few weeks ago called “Do What I Do” and as soon as I heard it I knew it was a certified slap. It’s only right I premiere it on here.

Cypress recruits L.A.’s very own Rucci and up-and-comer Bravo the Bagchaser for a verse each. Rucci kicks it off with some hard-hitting flows and even delivers a shout out to our Power 106 #LIFTOFF show! (Shoutout to him for that)

Bravo pops up on the second verse to display his lyrical abilities and let’s it be known he ain’t nothing to be played with. If you wanna test him tho just know he got “30 hollow tips in this Mac-10.”
